Beautiful location. Very peaceful and we loved watching the birds from the hot tub, after a couple of our group dipped in the brook first! Log burner a particular highlight. Especially from the comfy sofa. Daryl was very helpful and keen to make our stay as special as possible.

We stayed at Butterfly Cottage with friends for a long weekend. The location is excellent as very near amenities (Kendal is about a 10 mins drive away) and the estate is very well maintained. We were lucky with the weather and could enjoy the BBQ at the common seating area by the river.Cottage itself was very clean and comfortable . The private hot tub was a highlight! Daryl and Kerith were very friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. We’d be very happy to stay here again.

We had an amazing stay in the cottage with our children. The facilities and surroundings were beyond our expectations. The cottage was very spacious and had all we needed with great views in every direction. The hot tub was great way to wind down and relax in the evenings. Both Daryl and Kerith were very welcoming and always tips and ideas on where to visit. We had some lovely conversations with them and its clear to see how much time and effort they have invested in this lovely estate. The location is also close to all the main attractions and only a short drive to the Kendal and Windemere. There are many nearby trails which are worth exploring. Ambleside is definitely worth a visit. We hope to come back and we wish both Daryl and Kerith the very best.

Cottage is the most beautiful of settings, hosts very friendly. Spotlessly clean - couldn’t fault in any way. Would highly recommend
