George was an excellent host. You can see that everything is done with a lot of love in every detail. The room was very big and cosy. The hospitality of George makes you feel good from the first moment.... I loved our room especially in the morning, because of the brightness and tranquility at that time. There are no cars in the old town...

We were there in July and from 22-24 o clock you could hear loud music from the bars and restaurants. But this belongs to the old town as well and didn't bother us much....

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Puppet and I can't say enough about my wonderful experience.Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, I highly recommend, as an ideal destination for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. The combination of good breakfast, a nice place to stay, and the genuinely kind people.

An exceptional beginning, we were greeted by George who ensured we were truly taken care of. He was a mine of helpful information and always alert to phone calls and messages. The foyer is a quirky, atmospheric Cocktail bar, playing nostalgic vinyl music with an amazing array of cocktails, a perfect way to end one's day. A quiet comfy night in spacious rooms. The location was perfect for exploring, shopping and restaurants close by. Best of all a picturesque square with a variety of tip top restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious.

The breakfast was to die for. Best coffee I have ever tasted, a very generous portion of yoghurt, fruit, nuts and honey, a massive croissant and fresh orange juice. The balcony had great views, right in the buzz of the old town, and the building was very interesting and quirky. All staff there were very helpful and friendly, making our 4 night stay there one we will remember for the rest of our lives.

The location of Puppet Guesthouse is absolutely perfect - right in the middle of old town. It is tastefully decorated and very clean, with a nice and spacious balcony in the top floor apartment. The host went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! He made us a delicious breakfast, gave us tips for excursions, and even offered to give us a lift to the airport for an early morning flight if we couldn't get a taxi. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would be happy to come back!

Everything was perfect . Room was comfortable , included breakfast was divine and location was right in the centre of the old town! Staff were also very welcoming and lovely .

This is your heads up that this review is a long one… Our stay in Puppet Guest House with George was the highlight of our 9 day trip. Two days in Corfu was simply not enough and if I return and/or trick my parents into some time away it will be Puppet I stay at again. I didn’t remember to ask George if he was a fan of Friends but the rooms above the central perk style bar looked like they were plucked from the set of Monica and Rachel’s apartment. Everything was spotless, plenty of cold water, excellent air con and a sprawling balcony that the pictures on booking.com don’t do justice. We had the 4th floor (top) room with uninterrupted views of the old town city scape with direct sun from sunrise until about 4pm in early July. As an aside, the shower was also fantastic and the towels/toilet paper were replaced each day. Puppet has an excellent bar/cafe but is also situated literally 30ft from bars that play some heavy music if that’s your style. If not have a drink in puppet and pop back upstairs to your magically sound proofed room. With the windows and door closed we would have never known there was essentially a nightclub next door if we hadn’t been there ourselves. Now as much as I loved the sun, the birds and peering down at the night life below… George is by far the highlight of this accommodation. He is an absolute gentleman and I can honestly say I have never felt so genuinely cared for by an accommodation owner. George was in frequent and comprehensive contact (even if I wasn’t the most reliable on the phone. Bless him for trying). He let us drop off our bags hours before check in and even managed to have the room prepped for us to check in 2 hours early. As we were only there for one full day we had an activity booked starting from before breakfast and George would not let us go hungry. He was down early and prepared a fruit cocktail with yogurt, a croissant, fresh orange juice and whatever coffee we would like off the cafe menu.

Lovely room, great size, well decorated and furnished. Great cocktails in the bar downstairs. Breakfast was incredible. We received great advice on things to do/places to visit during our stay and felt very at home and relaxed. Would love to come back!

George the host was beyond amazing and we loved our stay. Our flight was very early in the morning and he was able to drive us to the airport. Mike was helpful in giving us recommendations for restaurants.

the location. in the heart of the old town. Our room was on the top floor, and had its own large private terrace with views towards the Albanian mountains, and the whole town. Surrounded by gorgeous bars and restaurants.

George was the best host of our 3 weeks in Greece! Sweet little guesthouse in prime location with comfy beds and fantastic breakfast! Excellent communication and great suggestions for hiking, beaches and restaurants across the whole island!

The puppet guesthouse was amazing - great location right in the middle of the old town. George & everyone who worked there were so friendly, gave loads of recommendations and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Thank you so much! We were in a group of 5 so had 2 rooms - the roof terrace had great views and the room for three was lovely and spacious

it was slightly noisy at night as close to bars/bar downstairs - but we didn’t mind & loved the buzz.

Puzzle Guesthouse was PERFECT for us. The place is located in the old town, close to The Spinada - and parking. There are only 4 rooms with lift access to all 4 floors. The owner, George, is charming; serving a delicious breakfast of freshly squeezed orange juice, a parfait of fresh fruit, yoghurt and pure island honey from his friend's bees, followed by a croissant and cappuccino ( or whatever hot drink you like). We were offered a toasted sandwich as well - but declined as we were already full! Even better than the delicious breakfast was the fantastic advice. George provided us with a clear daily itinerary that took us off the tourist path and led us to some wonderful sited around this friendly island. Being right in the town, there was a bit of noise at night - but it was happy noise and we were so tired from our island adventures we fell asleep anyway - all music stops at midnight and mornings are quiet to catch up on any lost sleep. The coco mat bed was extremely comfortable and the smart TV provided us with YouTube documentaries on Corfu - there's a great old one narrated by Lawernce Durrell, who live on the island back in the 1930"s. We highly recommend The Puppet and look forward to staying there again.

There was nothing I didn't like about Puppet!

Excellent location bang in the middle of everything. 4 floors each floor a room with stairs or lift to the rooms. Great breakfast to get you going. Excellent well stocked cocktail bar and local draught beers with a great friendly atmosphere. Excellent service from George, Mick and Nefeli who are more like friends than staff with nothing being to much trouble.

There is NOTHING to dislike about the Puppet.

I wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful welcome and first-class service from George. Exceptionally spacious room. Delicious breakfast including an amazing concoction of yogurt, nuts, honey and fruit. Hotel is in the centre but the music from the surrounding bars stopped at 10pm.

1) Wifi was unreliable at times. 2) We wondered about the hygiene of the bedspread and the bath mat. 3) Breakfast service on our last morning was disappointing, served by a young lady who seemed not to be able to cope with walk-in customers as well as us. We were in a bit of a hurry to get to the airport but had allowed 30 minutes for breakfast. We had to wait 10 minutes before being served and were not happy to be told that we should have arrived earlier when we asked her to hurry up. We wanted to have time to enjoy the delicious breakfast but ended up by having to rush somewhat.

The room & terrace were superb, exactly as per pictures on Bookings.com. Views from the terrace are really lovely. The owner George was very welcoming & gave me advise on places to visit etc. Breakfast was freshly made by George & really yummy.... a great start to the day ! A lovely place to stay in the heart of the old town. I will definately stay again.

Perfect location to enjoy and explore Corfu Town. The room and entire building was beautiful and very comfortable! The balcony with street views was very enjoyable as well.
