What a wonderful place to stay. My mother, mother-in-law, and I had the best experience. Alessandra was a pleasant and knowledgeable host. The place was very clean and well-stocked. The location was great, and we visited the market across the street often. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing Italian getaway.

We enjoyed our stay in the neighborhood outside the center of Florence. Easy taxi ride to the center of Florence. Great restaurants in area. House had room to be together. Art work thru out is a wonderful addition property owner helpful and available if needed.

Very clean, convenient to groceries, restaurants and the walk to the city center was about 25 minutes. Allesandra was very responsive and even offered to drive our luggage to the nearby train station, due to a large set of steps and a bridge. But we were finally able to get a taxi. There is a lovely courtyard to sit and enjoy being with family and friends. Do not hesitate to stay here!!!

Casa Schlatter is a really beautiful property and its age and history seemed so appropriate for a stay in the beautiful historical city of Florence. Alessandra was very helpful before and during the trip and I even had a WhatsApp chat with her before we arrived. As a small group of friends (3) we enjoyed a bedroom and bathroom each which was a luxury but the accommodations would easily suit three couples. It is quite far out of the city but well served by buses which can be accessed almost outside the door. We had no trouble at all and Badiani Pasticceria became a daily pilgrimage! Thank you Alessandra. We loved our trip.

What a lovely place to stay in Florence! Our hostess, Alessandra was a joy to work with. Her family home and her great grandfather’s art work on exhibit throughout the home, was like living in a museum, if the museum was cozy, warm and welcoming. The location was great with a 30 minute walk to the duomo and even better, only 5 minutes to the best gelato we have ever had. We would stay here again if ever in Milan again.

Alessandra’s lovely apartment is just as advertised. We appreciated the art and the uniqueness of the various rooms. Each room has a comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom. The tea and coffee were a welcome sight upon arrival! Booking process was easy and various instructions (e.g., parking laws) were clear and appreciated. Thank you!

Took the train from Rome to Florence and Alessandra had a taxi waiting to pick us up near the train station and bring our family of 6 to her apartment. The apartment was big and spacious and plenty of beds for all of us to have a great nights sleep. The apartment was a 30 min. walk to the main centre of Florence but we walked nearly every day. The neighbourhood is very safe and close to a great gelato place and pizza takeaway. We also had a little kitchen stalked with all the necessities to cook at home when we were tired of eating out. We spent two weeks at this house and it was perfect for our family of 5 (with three small kids). Everything about the house was great and we very much appreciated Alessandra and her hospitality!

We loved, loved, loved Alessandra and her beautiful house!!! Everything was just perfect! We were a group of 7, four parents and 3 children/young adults (16-23 years). The house was ideal, with two master suites (bedroom with bathroom) for the parents (one master suite had a door to the garden!) and a huge room with gallery for the youngsters and their own big bathroom opposite the room. The big room would have easily fit one more person (queen bed), the beds on the gallery are two twin beds which were big enough for our sons (1,80 and 1,87 cm). All bedrooms have air condition which was extremely useful since we stayed end of July. All bathrooms are new and modern, and the renovation is very tasteful and fits the style of the house. Everything is very clean and tidy, but with so much atmosphere and character! The house is amazing with a large window in the huge living room, and best of all, the paintings of Alessandra’s great-grandfather all over the walls! It’s just a pleasure to look at them and discover something new in them every day. Alessandra is super charming and warm and so helpful and understanding. We were delayed for our arrival. Alessandra waited for us without complaints despite having to be at a party with her family and she did not rush us at all! In fact, she had fruits prepared for us and a nice bottle of wine and provided us with all the information and even came back in the morning to check us in and answer more of our questions. Alessandra was always available for us by phone if we had questions, and we enjoyed very much talking to her about her great-grandfather and the history of the house during check-in and check-out, and the kids had a lot of fun with Alessandra’s adorable little dog! The location of the house is great! The bus station is around the corner with frequent buses to the city center and the main train station. There are several cute coffee places close to the house, one of them has the best ice cream ever! In the mornings and evenings, we always sat in the cute little garden which is right next to the kitchen and had our morning coffee (prepared with Alessandra’s espresso/cappuccino maker!) or a nice glass of wine in the evening, amazingly without any mosquitoes!!! We can only highly recommend Alessandra’s place for your stay in Florence, we feel extremely lucky to have met Alessandra and her house was absolutely perfect for us! This a true gem of place to rent if you are staying in Florence. Alessandra has taken and converted the home into a living museum with paintings done by her great grandfather throughout the house. She was an excellent host providing us with a generous serving of fruit and drink upon our arrival. You can rent one room or all three. We are a family of five, so we rented the entire place, which I recommend. With three separate bathrooms, a fully functioning kitchen, a nice backyard, and beautiful art and antiques anywhere you turn, this is a memorable place to stay. Alessandra even provided us with use of her Apple desktop to help us search for things to do. She told us about a great festival that occurred the night we arrived. If she did not tell us, we would have missed out on fireworks that were much better than what you see in the states. We strongly recommend staying here.

We, family of 6 people, stayed here for 3 nights in May 2017. We were greeted by our wonderful host, Alessandra who made us feel at home right away. The furnishings and decor including artwork are impressive. The bedrooms and shared living areas (kitchen, living & dining areas) are spacious and well equipped. The garden is a beautiful oasis to relax and unwind. Alessandra provided some very nice extras such as fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. She provided a comprehensive explanation of the apartment and the area including restaurant recommendations. We would highly recommend this property. Thank you Alessandra for a perfect stay.

Beautiful home walking distance to everything you need to see in Florence. No more than 4 km to the ponte veccio. Alessandra was amazing and so helpful. We had a wonderful trip.

Our family of five adults spent 6 nights at Casa Schlatter. Alessandra is warm, welcoming and attentive; responding quickly to our questions via What's App. Her home is spacious, clean, and as beautiful as the photos shown. Location was perfect with cafes & gelaterias along the street. Convenient to all major sites .The layout, and 3-bedrooms were perfect ... everyone had their own space and their own bathroom. Artwork is stunning. Linens are top-of-the-line. Lots of dishes, pots and pans, which was great as most nights we all met at the apartment for a home-made dinner after a day of sight-seeing. The fresh fruit, wine and biscotti were a thoughtful gesture and most appreciated. Thank you Alessandra! Hope to see you next year. Linda & Rocco

I booked Casa Schlatter, the entire house for my family's trip to Italy. We stayed one week in Casa Schlatter, before moving on to other parts of Rome. I can't say enough wonderful things about this home and Ms. Alessandra. We were greeted by Ms. Alesandra and found the home to be even more stunning than the pictures. Our every need was met. Ms. Alesandra gave us advice on resturants, shopping and getting around. All of which we used easily. It is not close to the main tourest area, but close enough to reach by taxi or bus easily. The neighborhood was safe, clean and quiet and I think we were the only tourists nearby. We walked through the streets without any hesitation for safety and found many local restaurants, shopping and groceries a stones throw away. The house is simply put, STUNNING. We had plenty of space and even extra for that matter. The kitchen was small but well equipped, the bedrooms and main living room very large. It was perfect in every way. The home was clean, well maintained, quiet, well kept and stocked full of equipment and supplies needed. Every bath had a blow dryer, every door a lock, extra pillows and blankets and the A/C and heat worked great. We never ran short of hot water and Taxi service was fast and a good value. We loved our stay so much, we tell everyone to stay here, the accommodations are 5 star and the service by Ms. Alassandra even better. Thank you Ms. Alassandra, for such a lovely stay in one of my new favorite cities. I highly recommend and will return here again and again. Room Tip: Don't Rent a Room, Rent the entire Home, it's that good. If you must pick, I prefer Room 1 or 2.

We stayed with friends at the apartment in September and found the location in a very nice section of town. The house is lovely with plenty room for us to relax after days of touring Florence and the countryside. We used the private courtyard in the evening to wind down before going out to a nice evening meal. Alessandra was the best, giving us helpful tips on both the house and the area, and even dropped us off at a nice restaurant for lunch after orienting us to the house. I highly recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.
