It was kind of like staying with your favorite uncle who happens to live in Malta and has a couple of extra bedrooms. Good A/C. A private refrigerator is provided outside the room. GREAT view from the rooftop patio. I had planned the trip as having a car rental but we got rid of it after the first two days. Driving here is crazy!! Giancarlo helped us replan our visit to Gozo with extreme thoughtfulness. He has 2 cute chihuahuas. One is a total lover. The other likes to bark at strangers so we didn’t see him much. 10 minute walk to the center of town and the bus station. The price point is unbeatable. Loved our stay.
We didn’t mind but it is on the second floor for those with mobility issues.

We had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
We had an excellent stay at La Fenice by Giancarlo. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location, just a short walk from Victoria's main attractions. Giancarlo was a wonderful host—friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations that made exploring Gozo even more enjoyable. We also loved the peaceful terrace with its beautiful views. Great value for money, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Giancarlo is very friendly and welcoming! He treats his guests with great respect and his home is very cosy and clean, equipped with all the amenities. The terrace is very peaceful and has a beautiful view of the Citadel. Considering it's situated in the capital, the house is still in a quiet area.
One has to keep in mind that they are renting just a room within a shared house, and therefore one should respect the other guests and the host who also lives there
