民宿主人非常親切用心,泡茶給房客喝,民宿備有脫水機、曬衣處、急救箱、置物桌,床位之間還有活動隔屏、隱秘性高

This is a cool place to stay if you miss the personal touch of casual, quirky hostels (compared to the usual slick, impersonal ones in Taiwan). The older lady who runs it is fun to talk to, if she's around, the bunk beds are of very good quality, and the air conditioning generally works well, at least for the four bunks on one side (not sure about the capsule-style beds on the other side). The location is pretty good, a 15-minute walk from the train station, two blocks from the collapsed temple, and one block from a bus stop for Sun Moon Lake or Xitou Forest. The hostel has a drinking water machine, a big bathroom, a second bathroom upstairs a spin-dry machine and clothesline for handwashed clothes, bicycles you can borrow, and fully-automated entry. There's a 7-Eleven right across the street with lots of 24-hour seating, for if you need AC during the day or to make a call at night. Overall I found it to be a pretty comfortable experience. You're largely left to your own devices, and there's often no staff around - prepare your translation app's camera mode to read the notes posted around the place to figure everything out when you arrive.
You're generally asked not to use the air conditioning during the day or anytime that no one is sleeping, but it seems to be kind of flexible, and there are lots of fans. If you're hoping for spacious, private, reliably-quiet, or tidy vibe (I wasn't), this might not be the place for you: The dorms and common area are all combined into one medium-sized room, very cluttered with art, old-fashioned furniture, books, etc. The beds are separated from the common area only by curtains and plastic dividers.

民宿老闆非常好客,很好聊,是很有藝術天份的畫家,到處可看到他的創作,希望下次能再跟老闆煉肖話!

"I had a very comfortable stay in Jiji. The place is small but has everything you need. Granny will take care of you.
Don't drink too much oolong tea late at night lol"
