If you're expecting the Ritz, take your highfalutin expectations there. This place is wonderfully quirky charming, with a personable host and his two beautiful plotthounds. Be sure to choose the optional breakfast--an extra fee but just wonderful! The buckwheat pancakes are heavenly, but it gets better from there, including the "Eggs Bulwinkle".
It would have been nice to have a place in the bathrroom to put our cosmetics and other personal bathroom items. Top of the toilet doesn't quite work but the best choice.

We did not eat breakfast. We did not have confidence in the sanitation.
The outside grounds were a mess and the host was sloppy. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

Beautiful old mansion very close the the shore, nice big yard. Polite owner/operator.
Place is owned and operated by an American who doesn't live there but for a few months in the year to run the place in high season, which explains the unkempt state of the building. He seems very keen to share his unsollicited conservative political views such as Canada being too communist. Room was cold and couldn't find a thermostat. Very loud barky dogs.
