Villa Orabelle

The staff, breakfast and pool areas were outstanding. We even ordered lunch from the pool the day we arrived and everything was delicious.

Our room was quite small but the amenities and staff make up for it

Checking in was a great experience! Our bags were taken from us and we were given a thorough run-down of the hotel's services alongside a high level view of the local area via the take-away map available on the front desk. Our bags were then taken to our room by the concierge, and a run-down of the room was provided. The room was absolutely amazing (best room in the hotel in my opinion, but not saying which one it was!), comfy, with subtle LED lighting and with fantastic views! The pools were both stunning - especially liked the long thin infinity pool looking out over the bay! The loungers were very comfy, the staff were extremely polite & professional at all times; the breakfast on the terrace each morning was beautiful with good options. Lunch was also delicious, with a simple but adequate choice of options. Didn't eat dinner in the restaurant. It was such a great experience from start to end; can't fault the places

Nothing I didn't like, but a few really small and simple things that I think would really help elevate the hotel even more, in no particular order. Important to call out that these are not faults, just suggestions to be even better!. Overall, it felt to me like the waiting staff were very nervous - needlessly so, I might add. They were great! But it felt like they were always on edge; be confident in your skills and capabilities! And they looked really hot in their uniform - not sure if was mandated to wear long trousers but I would certainly not judge a waiter for wearing shorts or a skirt in that heat!. Put a few chairs by the pool side to sit on - older folk may not wish to only have a lounger! Also look at options for a few more umbrellas by the pool - it is south facing and in the summer heat, it is hot! Possibly look at the opportunity for a small bar area near the infinity pool - it was a bit of a trek to walk up & down the stairs to get a drink in the heat (first world problem!); have more fans on the lunch terrace and/or further reaching umbrellas - it was really hot eating there (end of Aug and was over 30c); the dinner menu felt limited in choice & expensive, in contrast to the breakfast & lunch menu which were really good; and sadly, no real choice for veggies (one fish option, rest was meat). One final point to make - about the beach (nothing to do with the hotel, but for others reading this), let's just say it was nicer from a distance!

Everything was great. However a lot of stairs to get around.

Convenient to walk into Dubrovnik but without being in the centre especially at busy times during the day. The villa was spotlessly clean with friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the surrounding area.
