Situato nella tranquilla comunità di Gallatin Woods, Bears Lair è una spaziosa casa di tronchi che mette a portata di mano il meglio del Deep Creek Lake.

It was a wonderful mid-week vacation creating new memories full of funny stories, singing and reminiscing about our childhoods for myself, my Sister, Brother and our spouses.

Lovely Stay
Location was great! House had everything we needed. Perfect back yard for relaxing with our group. Issues were corrected in a timely manner. We would definitely stay again.

Wi-fi was a little spotty but that's a given considering the location. Just one suggestion, maybe posting somewhere on how the front and side door locks work. It was a little tricky but my husband figured it out. It was a great long weekend!

Secluded and Perfect!
If privacy and a little seclusion is what you're looking for - this is it! House was beautiful, super clean, and very spacious. Outdoor area was perfect with the hot tub and fire pit. Wi-fi was a little spotty but that's a given considering the location. Just one suggestion, maybe posting somewhere on how the front and side door locks work. It was a little tricky but my husband figured it out. It was a great long weekend!

The house was lovely. But the door DOESNT LOCK. 7 young, out of state, women were staying in an unfamiliar environment in a house that didn’t lock. We were so creeped out by that. The check in process was supposed to include a lock box that held a key BUT THE KEY WAS IN THE DOOR WHEN WE ARRIVED and there were two key pads there that wouldn’t lock the door no matter how much we entered the code. The office employees were nice and easy to discuss this with. They sent someone over the next afternoon but we had to leave before they got there- the problem wasn’t fixed although their instructions said it was. We love the area but cannot recommend the Bears Lair just because of that single safety concern. There are not many complaints other than the door not locking and there being very very very poor wifi connection.

We had an amazing time at the Bears Lair! Our only bad thing is that we couldn't stay longer. Even with Covid we felt safe and that all precautions that could had been put into place. It was a wonderful vacation!

Had a great time at the lake, the property looked exactly as displayed in pictures and was clean. My only concern is that every morning myself, mother and uncle all woke up with a couple bites. Mine had gotten so big and burned to the touch that I had to seek medical help and was put on a steroid.

We enjoyed our stay here at Bear’s Lair. We had everything we needed at this property. My only complaint would be that there were a lot of cobwebs that hadn’t been cleaned off door handles outside. Other than that, my family enjoyed themselves for our graduation/birthday celebration trip. Thank you for having us.

Cousins trip
We enjoyed our stay here at Bear’s Lair. We had everything we needed at this property. My only complaint would be that there were a lot of cobwebs that hadn’t been cleaned off door handles outside. Other than that, my family enjoyed themselves for our graduation/birthday celebration trip. Thank you for having us.

Just a few recommendations ... maybe give a heads up that all 4 showers can not be in use at the same time otherwise everyone will have cold showers and give some direction on how to use the 5 remotes given for the tv ... we tried to watch a movie and it was impossible to just get regular tv or sign into Netflix !

We spent a week in the Bears Lair and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house was very well outfitted, esp the kitchen. Used the fire pit, the grill, and the hot tub. Pleasant and very nice location. Plenty of room for 6 people. My favorite spot was the front roofed porch. Quiet, peaceful, and very calming on a rainy day.

Overall, we had a wonderful time in Deep Creek and at Bears Lair. The home's kitchen is very well-appointed, with every implement, appliance, pan or dish you could ever need or want (except for a toaster). All of the furniture in the home was quite comfortable. There are lots of board games and books to enjoy, and there is also a Roku-equipped television. The home is in a tranquil setting that allows for lots of relaxation, but it is also a short drive from local businesses and attractions. The inside of home was really clean, save for a few cobwebs on the light fixtures. On the property, we found several cigarette butts in the grass, and some odd rags in the bushes. The biggest disappointment about the home was that there are no screens in the windows! The overnight temperatures during our stay would have been absolutely ideal for sleeping with the windows open and breathing in the mountain air. Instead, we were forced to run the air conditioner (which doesn't regulate the second floor very well.) There is also a safety hazard caused by the living room rug-it curls up at the edges, and everyone tripped over it repeatedly. When we first arrived at the home, there was no key (or rather, no key box to unlock with the code we had been given). We called and a key was quickly delivered, however there not being a key box at the home also resulted in our having to return the key to the rental office on our way out of town. We had to call the rental company a second time to replace the battery in our smoke alarm (it was beeping incessantly when we arrived). This was quickly addressed as well. The manual/binder for the home was for a different Taylor-Made property, not Bears Lair. Despite these shortfalls, Bears Lair is a lovely, spacious, comfortable home, and DCL was a fun place to visit.
