The homestay itself was lovely, clean and in a beautiful location, with a great reef for snorkeling. The staff were friendly and it was possible to arrange trips, although they were a bit more expensive than elsewhere.
Unfortunately, the owner was rather distant and not very communicative during my stay. The biggest disappointment was the boat transfer to my next homestay. Despite agreeing on a departure time at 1 pm, I had to wait several hours and eventually arrange alternative transport. The owner initially promised a partial refund but later refused to send it. He then responded with aggressive and personal messages when I followed up on the refund he had promised.
Overall, the accommodation and location were great, but the way this situation was handled left a disappointing final impression.
