Bedrooms and bathrooms clean.

Dishwasher broken and full of moldy water. Old and smelly furniture in the living room. The heating was with fan heaters in all rooms.

The house is in an excellent location, 5min walk to a beautiful beach and very peaceful. It is close to some amenities such as the strand hotel and a small shop! There is a cafe close by but that was closed maybe due to covid restrictions or end of season. Doogart is a lovely location! I would happily return to that village again.

The house is not the cosy seaside cottage you would be expecting. The outside is unkept and the garden is overgrown. I can’t imagine anyone booking with kids would be able to let them outdoors. Inside needs some TLC. It needs painting and furniture updated! It is shabby and needs a deep clean. The house is very spacious with plenty of bathrooms but only one shower was working for us! Heating was an issue as there was no hot water available to us unless we used the electric shower. It wasn’t the worst place to stay but we would not return unless some modifications were completed. The house has tonnes of potential but it requires a make over to make it more comfortable and enjoyable to stay.

We cannot fault the location. 5min walk to a small but beautiful beach. Very central to everything. Strand hotel is right next door. They have a very limited menu but food is very good.

Achill is a beautiful place to visit but we would not return to this property. We booked the house for a weeks stay. On arrival we first noticed the overgrown garden, and how unkept the outside was. You couldn't let the kids play outside as the grass and weeds were too high. The inside of the house wasn't much better. Furniture was old and tatty. Toilets are ready to come off the walls, no pressure in the showers, water never got really hot enough, shower trays over filled as they haven't been probably cleaned & blocked up. I could go on and on. House needs a good clean too. This house has been very neglected by its owner which is a shame as it's in a prime location and it could be a beautiful holiday home.We paid nearly €900 to stay here so we are very dissappointed
