The hosts were great. Really helpful, friendly and they really helped us with our two very small children.
They had a box of books (NL and DE books) ready for us, with a baby bed and a gate for the stairs. They were very kind!
The location is wonderful - although it is a bit tricky to park your car there. They have a reserved space for the house, it is just a bit tricky to access. The location is very close to the beach and Egmond centre.
The stairs are very steep - it is quite a traditional small Dutch house with a steep staircase. Not ideal for babies! You just need to be careful there.
Having the bathroom and the shower split into two different rooms also wasn't ideal.
In the grand scheme of things, these are minor nitpicks - but they are things to be aware of. I think the house would be ideal for a family with one child from the age of 2 upwards. The location is great, friendly hosts, lovely terrace garden, Egmond is great for kids... We really enjoyed it .
