Very friendly and helpful staff. Also comfy atmosphere with tasteful decoration. Descriptions of nearby hiking routes were also provided. Also the coupons for reduced entry fees for nearby onsen in hotels were provided.
Place is perfect for resting after a long hike.
Meal options are limited to onigiri for breakfast and curry for dinner - very tasty but a bit more variety would have been nice.

Very friendly hostel. The people running it are young and kind, one of them even helped me book later accommodation on the telephone. The shared area is spacious and nice, very easy to talk and make friends. Beds have curtains and are comfortable. Its close to the gorge walk. They give you discounts for nearby onsens.
Fairly far and uphill walk from the bus terminal.
