Castle View House, stunning period property.
Castle View House è situata in una posizione tranquilla all'ombra del castello Doonagore del XVI secolo a 5 minuti a piedi dal villaggio di Doolin. Proprio all'inizio di The Cliffs of Moher Walking Trail sarai in una posizione ideale per visitare il famoso Burren e le Isole Aran e The Cliffs of Moher.
La casa fu costruita dagli antenati degli attuali proprietari nel 1870 ed è stata sensibilmente rinnovata e restaurata quattro anni fa ed è ora uno spazio caldo e confortevole con riscaldamento centralizzato a gasolio, è un ottimo posto per rilassarsi e godersi un ambiente tranquillo.
Ci sono quattro ampie camere da letto matrimoniali, tutte con vista mozzafiato sulla campagna e sulla scogliera attraverso le grandi finestre. Due camere da letto sono ensuite e le altre due condividono un bagno adiacente.
Al piano inferiore ci sono tre grandi sale di ricevimento, una sala da pranzo formale con vista sul castello di Doonagore, un grande salotto maestoso con una vista sul castello di Doonagore e The Cliffs of Moher. Entrambe le camere sono dotate di stufe a legna per serate accoglienti.
Una grande cucina in stile country completamente attrezzata con tutti i comfort con un fantastico fornello chiuso in un arco in pietra completa lo spazio abitativo dove è possibile radunarsi attorno al grande tavolo della cucina godendo della vista delle mucche al pascolo appena fuori.
Se ti interessa avventurarti a fare una passeggiata al Doolin Village, a soli 5 minuti lungo la strada dove troverai pub, caffetterie, un hotel e diversi negozi di artigianato, a 10 minuti di distanza prendi un traghetto con servizio di regurlar per le Isole Aran.
Avrai voglia di tornare ancora e ancora a Castle View House quando sei stato affascinato dalla sua pace e tranquillità.

Castleview could easily be called castle-cliffs-ocean-farm-view with the added bonus of baby calfs right outside the window. Sally is a perfect host — welcoming, informative, generous, responsive and discreet. She stocked the kitchen to ensure a pleasant first morning (the bread was soooo good) gave us a tour to explain the quirks of the house and offered suggestions about parking, activities, dining etc in Doolin. The house is spotless, comfortable, quiet and warm. You can easily walk down the hill to Gus O’Connors Pub (unless you’re my 85 year old father and are planning on having a few pints before the trip back). We walked out the door to the cliff walk most days and the full walk back from the Cliffs of Moher was deemed one of the top hikes some of my family members have ever taken. This is a great base for our time in Co. Clare!

Castle View House is exceptional. Our family of six VRBO for nearly all of our vacations and this stay was beyond compare. The house is as gorgeous as it is pictured and its setting is breathtaking. Inside is beautifully appointed and perfectly clean. Sally is a gracious, welcoming host who met us at the door to guide us through the check in. She even stocked our fridge with fresh, local foods and homemade bread! Only two of our sons (15 and 17) accompanied us on this trip and they fell in love with the spaciousness of the house and the immediate access to the Cliffs of Moher Walk outside our door. The house has everything a family needs to fully relax. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and welcoming. The dining and sitting rooms provide more areas to relax and enjoy the view of the castle and sea from the windows. Bedrooms are lovely and comfortable, affording everyone both privacy and access to the gorgeous farm views. Doolin village is a five minute walk down the hill. We went down all but one of our five night stay to enjoy the amazing live music sessions that simply happen Gus O’Connors. (And the food is great, too! Awesome fish and chips and curry.)We walked to the Doolin Ferry and spent a day in Inish Mor followed by the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher add-on trip. A quick drive and we were hiking the Burren and enjoying the Aillwee Cave. We also did a day trip to Blarney Castle and were home in time to make dinner. We simply loved it and recommend it highly.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at the Castle View House. Thank you so much Sally and Cyril for sharing your beautiful property. We really enjoyed learning about the farm, the amazing walks on the cliffs, and the quant town of Doolin. Lifelong memories.
