ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
The apartment is located in a quiet and elegant environment, in a green valley.
Near the hause there is a private parking. The door is under the higway, so there are the steps, then to go up to appartment there is an elevator.
The appartament is well equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It's possible to walk a dog in the area near the apartment as there is very little traffic. The climate is mild and the apartment is ideally situated for visiting the attractions in the area.
SAN MICHELE is a lovely village a few minutes walk away. It has a mixture of free beach areas and others well equipped. San Michele has three bays: Pomaro, Trelo and Prelo. In the first bay Pomaro there is a fee for use of the facilities. There is the bathing establishments, the diving club, restaurants, bars, pizzeria and delicatessen shop take away. "Oro blu" restaurant on the beach has a good lunch menu for a reasonable price.
From Pomaro you can walk along a promenade, dotted with benches carved from the rock under ancient trees,to the small free beaches: Trelo and Prelo. The beaches have toilets, showers and bars. Canoes and boats are available to rent. Through" Park of Remebrance" , you arrive at the old "Church San Michele" ( here you can admire the works of famous Flemish and Italian painters XVI th-XVIII th centuries) and the panoramic "Tower Pagana".
From San Michele you can walk to RAPALLO (15 minutes) and SANTA MARGHERITA (20 minutes), two towns where you can shop and eat in the good resturants on the promenade.
In Santa Margherita you should visit the CATHEDRAL "Nostra Signora della Rosa" and VILLA DURAZZO (in the park there is a nice snack-bar).
In Rapallo you should visit PARCO TIGULLIO and the "Lace museum". Near Rapallo there is a locality, ST. AMBROGIO, with a restaurant "Le due querce", where you can enjoy a spectucular wiew over the Gulf.
The TIGULLIO GULF has preserved the ancient beauty, the traditions, with beach towns, villages on the hills and iking trails. Ancient paths in the woods along the sea lend to old mills, small churches and breathtaking wiews. It's necessary to see the map of the paths.
It's possible to walk from RAPALLO to PORTOFINO along the longest promenade by the sea (8,5 Km.)in the world. On the road is the old "ABBEY CERVARA" with its charming garden overlooking the water (you can book a guided tour). On the rocks on the sea, opposite the Abbey there is a nice bar-restaurant. Other points of refreshments are in the beautiful bay of PARAGGI and in the fascinating PORTOFINO. From Portofino you can go back to Rapallo by bus or by ferry.
In half an hour by car you can reach the most beautiful countries:
SESTRI LEVANTE (do not miss the "BAY of the SILENCE")
CHIAVARI with medioeval arcades full of life (under the arcades of "Piazza Fenice" many local restaurants as "Luchin")
CAMOGLI, a characteristic village of sailors and fishermen.
By train, or even better by boat, you can reach the "CINQUE TERRE" and by boat the splendid "ABBEY SAN FRUTTUOSO".
From Rapallo by motorway or along the coast in about 40 minutes you can get to GENOVA, a city rich in artistic treasures, with a big historical center. The street "GARIBALDI" is the most beautiful artery, the buildings are sexteenth century, including PALAZZO ROSSO and PALAZZO BIANCO, now Civic Museums, and PALAZZO TURSI, seat of Municipality. You should visit also the OLD PORT, renowned by architect RENZO PIANO, and MARINE AQUARIUM.
In about one hour and quarter by car you can reach other famous cities, as PISA and LUCCA. It's interesting MASSA CARRARA and also the ALPI APUANE, because of the marble quarries. The landscape is really particular, an almost unreal beauty.

DESCRIZIONE IN ITALIANO

L'appartamento si trova in una palazzina in un contesto silenzioso ed elegante, immersa nel verde, con una bella vista sulle colline. Presso la casa c'è un parcheggio privato. Il portone è situato sotto la strada , per raggiungerlo bisogna scendere un piano di scala (20 gradini), poi per salire all'appartamento c'è l'ascensore.
L'appartamento è dotato di tutti i confort. Si può mangiare sul terrazzo. Le camere da letto sono riservate con due bagni indipendenti. Negli spazi adiacenti alla casa si può passeggiare con un cane senza traffico.
In pochi minuti si può raggiungere il piccolo delizioso borgo di San Michele, situato tra Rapallo e Santa Margherita e formato da tre baie. La prima è Pomaro, con la sua spiaggia di sabbia, in parte libera, in parte attrezzata con gli stabilimenti balneari, dotata di un piccolo market, ristoranti, bar, pizzeria e un negozio di specialità liguri take away. C'è anche un dining sub. Il ristorante "Oro blu" sulla spiaggia offre per pranzo un buon menu a un prezzo contenuto.
Di qui parte una passeggiata sul mare (dove si può sostare su panchine scavate nella pietra all'ombra di alberi secolari) verso altre due piccole verdi baie, Trelo e Prelo, con spiaggette libere, dotate però di servizi igienici, di doccia e bar. E' possibile prendere in affitto una canoa o un pattino.
A partire dal borgo di San Michele si possono raggiungere a piedi sia Rapallo (15 min.) sia Santa Margherita (20 min.), due cittadine dove si può fare shopping e mangiare in ristoranti di ogni livello e prezzo. A Rapallo si può visitare il Museo del Merletto situato nella "Villa Tugullio", a Santa Margherita la "Villa Durazzo", nonchè le Chiese delle due cittadine ricche di opere d'arte.

Il golfo del Tigullio ha mantenuto l'antica bellezza e le tradizioni con le sue cittadine affacciate sull'acqua e i caratteristici borghi sulle colline, dotate di sentieri adatti alle passeggiate.
Il clima è dolce, il contesto geografico ideale e la casa si trova a poca distanza di auto dai luoghi più gettonati del Tigullio, tra cui spiccano Portofino, Sestri levante e Chiavari. In treno, e ancor meglio in battello, da Rapallo è agevole raggiungere le "Cinque Terre" e la splendida Abbazia di San Fruttuoso.
Una bella passeggiata sul mare parte da Rapallo e arriva a Portofino. Sulla strada si incontra l'antica Abbazia della Cervara, ricca di storia, con un bellissimo giardino affacciato sulle acque del Tigullio. Si può prenotare la visita guidata. Sugli scogli di fronte alla Cervara c'è un tipico bar- ristorante ("American bar").
A circa un quarto d'ora di auto si possono raggiungere due bei paesi affacciati sul mare: Sestri levante e Chiavari. Da non perdere a Sestri levante la bellissima "Baia del silenzio" (dove si può anche bere qualcosa o pranzare in un bar-ristorante). A Chiavari è piacevole girovagare per i portici medioevali pieni di vita. Sotto i portici di Piazza Fenice ci sono ristoranti molto particolari , dove si possono gustare specialità tipiche.
Sempre in un quarto d'ora di auto si può raggiungere Camogli, un paese caratteristico di marinai e pescatori, situato nel Golfo di Genova.
Da Rapallo con l'autostrada ( o percorrendo la panoramica litoranea) in circa 40 minuti si può raggiungere Genova, città interessante, con il centro storico più grande di Europa, densa di tesori artistici. La Via Garibaldi, forse la più bella arteria d'Europa, è fiancheggiata da splendidi palazzi del '500, tra cui Palazzo Rosso e Palazzo Bianco, divenuti oggi musei civici. Da visitare anche l'antico porto, riqualificato dall'archistar Renzo Piano, e l'Acquario marino.
In giornata si possono visitare anche altre città d'arte toscane, come Pisa e Lucca (in circa 1 ora e 40 minuti), oppure spingersi a Massa Carrara con le sue cave di marmo nelle Alpi Apuane, un paesaggio suggestivo d'immensa bellezza quasi irreale.
