The staff were so friendly and it was nice to be back once again
To find it during the dark nights was a bit of a struggle. No external lighting.

Quiet location. Clean, comfortable bed. Good shower. Good selection for continental breakfast. Congenial hosts.

The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Generally clean.
However the hairdryer was SO old I didn't dare plug it in! The mug provided was like a thimble. The TV was on a side wall facing away from the bed. I didn't get breakfast as they serve later at the weekends which was a shame and no offer was made to even provide some fruit to eat in the morning.
To be greeted with "you're early" wasn't the best start! And having to ring a bell and wait was a bit off putting. Luckily it wasn't raining!! I'd rather there were no plants anywhere than plastic ones too. Apart from the owner and his "delightful" greeting I didn't see any other staff. Having to find somewhere close to Romsey at short notice left little choice but I won't return!
