Casa Pepe

Had breakfast one day and it was very good and nice to eat up in the terrace. I like the variety of activities offered throughout the week. Place was very safe and welcoming.

Needed clean towels due to a room cleaning mix up and the front desk was not attended. I waited for a while and finally helped my self to a couple of towels that I saw in a cabinet t that was opened. Problem solved but it was frustrating that I couldn’t find anyone to help me.

Awesome central location, plenty for a self organising hostel person - we organised a Xochimilco tour between ourselves using public transport (and AI and Joseph from reception for help! lol). Leo was an absolute star with luggage storage as well.

All good nothing to complain about. On hostel based activities obviously there will be a mark up. Take a call between paying for the organised tours and seeing if there are enough hostel folks signing up to DIY tours using public transport using their whatsapp group. Location is awesome for local cheap street food and exploring!

I like the location, the building and how clean it was. Also bendings are quite new and quality.

The insane amount of NOISE! if you stay here just for partying then might be a good one but for me it wasn't comfortable to sleep noise from inside(rooftop bar) also outside(traffic, street vendors etc). Also don't book here thinking there's a kitchen and you can cook. It's very small and dysfunctional, 2 people in the kitchen bumping each other can't imagine on rush hours. Also there's no place to eat your food, they kind of want you to pay for their breakfast. Also as a personal note, I didn't like how unhelpful the stuff was with my initial booking. I booked the wrong days and I immediately contacted them in the same minute but they didn't respond or sent me replies I should contact the platform I booked. I decided to go there to solve it they said it fixed but I was still charged the full amount (not booking.com) I really don't get it, they take 0 responsibility. As a side note, don't book tours here their markup is crazy. I went to lucha libre myself ticket was 200 pesos in Arena, also went to Teotihuacán myself costs 170 pesos (metro+bus) and you can get a guide there or there's some amazing podcasts/audiobooks about it, do you research before booking.
