Vicoloft - 60sqm openspace apartment situated in the old quarter of Trastevere
Vicoloft is a 60sqm open space apartment situated in the old quarter of Trastevere on the 2nd floor of an 1800 building on Vicolo De' Cinque.
The apartment was recently renovated, is tastefully appointed and can accommodate up to 5 people.
The kitchen is fully equipted with dishwasher, washing machine, stove top, oven and full size refrigerator.
The spaceous living room is composed with original wooden beams and all the necessary comforts: flat screen tv, wifi which function thoughout the apartment, air conditioning, double sleeper sofa' (15cm/5,5 inches thick mattrass).
The windowed bedroom has a large queen size bed supported by wooden slets and a very large closet, two night tables and a ceiling fan.
The bathroom is all done in resin with walk in shower box, wc, bidet and sink.

The convenient location of Vicoloft in the heart of Trastevere is in close proximatly to the hystoric center of Rome accessible by public transportation or by foot:
A stone's throw away is piazza di S. Maria in Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa and the daily fresh market of Piazza S. Cosimato.
By foot crossing the bridge Ponte Sisto in front of Piazza Trilussa takes you into in the infamous streets of Campo de' Fiori; from there you can easily reach Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, Via del Corso, Trevi fountain and 10 minutes more either directions the Vatican and the Colosseum.
If you take Via Garibaldi up to one of the famous hills of Rome you will reach the Gianicolo and admire the incredible views of the city of Rome below first from the church of S. Pietro in Montorio, a bit further still into the park in front of Piazza Garibaldi.

by train to Trastevere station, there you can take either the number 8 tram to Piazza Sonnino or 3
-from Ciampino airport:
by taxi fixed fee

-from Termini station with the H bus to Piazza Sonnino
-from Piazza Sonnino by foot take via della Lungaretta through Piazza S. Maria in Trastevere, make a right to Piazza S. Egidio than bear right and there make right on Vicolo De' Cinque.

Everything here is as good or better than I expected from the listing. The host is responsive and extremely helpful, and the apartment is such a wonderful oasis of clean calm in the middle of the chaos and energy of Rome.

We verbleven met z'n 5-en (2 volwassenen en 3 pubers) in deze loftwoning. Gelegen in de bijzonder levendige wijk Trastevere, waar het ook 's avonds altijd gezellig druk is, met veel leuke restaurantjes, barretjes en ijssalons. Ondanks de levendige wijk heb je in het appartement zelf nauwelijks last van de drukte op straat. De woning was ook voor 5 mensen ruim genoeg (in ieder geval voor een week) en van alle gemakken voorzien (goede bedden, prima badkamer, keuken met vaatwasser(tje)). Gezien de centrale ligging is eigenlijk alles lopend bereikbaar (Vaticaan, Colosseum, Villa Borghesia,...). Eigenaar Allessandro was altijd bereikbaar en beschikbaar voor vragen, erg fijn! Kortom, een plek om nog eens terug te keren!!
