We had a very nice stay. Apartment was very comfortable and it was very easy to jump on the train and visit other places. Ricardo was a very accommodating and gracious host.

This property has a wonderful view of the Ligurian Sea. There are good restaurants and gelato just steps from your front door. We really enjoyed our stay here. One word of caution - this property is on the second floor with no elevator and the steps are steep. If you have mobility concerns, you might want to try somewhere else.

Riccardo truly is the best host. He met us at the train station and helped with our luggage. He gave us all the information on the area to visit and how to get around. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Pack light, you have a washing machine to use for your stay. Riccardo called a taxi for us when we left which made our journey very easy. Many places to eat in Nervi but make a reservation. Ten out of Ten. Thanks Riccardo

Riccardo is the most kind, soft-spoken and wonderful property host we have ever met.
Full, open sea view in Nervi from the living room looks out at the beach, boat launch and local restaurants.
Property has full kitchen, large rooms, fast-working air conditioner or fan.
After booking, we immediately received maps, transportation information, recommendations. Slow, 10-minute walk along the Ligurian Sea from Nervi train station.
Dinner at Halloween or Bagni Medusa. Boat trip to Camogli and Portofino. Long train ride to Cinque Terre or a short trip to Genoa. Supermarket and Pharmacie nearby.
Go to the bakery up the hill for fresh, original foccacia or other treats.
Enjoy your stay at the Fisherman's House!

The apartment is spacious and comfortable, luxurious even, and tasteful. Airco in every room, plenty of daylight, great kitchen and bathroom. All appliances in good order and easy to use. The view is 24/7 entertainment, with the lovely & lively harbour right at your feet. Plenty of choice from nice restaurants. Frequented mostly by locals and Italian visitors, Nervi is not as posh or touristic as Portofino etc. so that's a plus. And the acces to train, boat and beach is brilliant. So we could very much live with the few minor downsides: no parking spot near the house; noise from trains (back) and terraces (front) when windows are open; the canal down the street can be smelly; steep stairs (but compared to Amsterdam houses the stairs are perfectly fine..). Riccardo is the most gracious host who speaks English perfectly and goes out of his way to help with luggage and with tips and advice. In short: highly recommended!

An A+ for the apartment; very comfortable, luxurious and complete
An A+ for the location (the lively area is great) and it's a fantastic base to explore the Ligurian coast (by train, bus of boat)
An A+ for the gracious host. He supplies so much information and it's fantastic how he arranges a parking spot nearby the house (NB otherwise it's almost impossible to find a spot).
In short: you will not be disappointed if you book a stay in Nervi.

We (family with two kids) lived here for 6 days in June, and had an absolutely fantastic stay. The host gave us lots of tips to what to do, where to travel, where to eat, where to buy gelato (Chicco!), where to buy foccacias for breakfast, the best beaches, etc - and all of them was of great value for us. There are very good and cosy restaurants only few meters from the appartment. Nervi is a great place to stay when visiting other places in Liguria (we went to Genoa, Bogliasco, Camogli, Portofino and San Fruttuoso) but most of all: Nervi is a great place to stay in itself. The appartment was great, and the host was very kind, helpful and easy to communicate with. I recommend this place of all my heart.

It is exactly what I expected. Riccardo is an excellent host, give all necessary informations and help for what you need, as check in and check out, with the luggages. He left some kind amenities. The place is very good, excellent to live a typical Italian life in a porticciolo, but with travel facilities to travel around if you want to do regional tourism. The apartment is very nice , with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a nice and complete kitchen and room with sea view, and washing machine. The entrance has a sharp stair, he warned about that, just if you have a big problem of mobility talk to him before. Excellent holiday!!

Basing ourselves in Nervi for our visit to the Genoa Area was great. The accommodation is fantastic, we hardly wanted to explore beyond Nervi. There are views of the harbour from the accommodation, as well as great food at restaurants nearby. Riccardo was so helpful, making our stay even better. We wish we had stayed longer, it was so good there!

A beautiful flat, with wonderful views, we really enjoyed our 3 days there, hope we will return, for longer next time. Ricardo is a great host, very attentive, thanks so much Riccardo!

Riccardo emailed maps, notes and recommendations before our holiday so when we arrived we knew the area quite well.
Nervi is a great base to see all the Ligurian coast has to offer.
Great train links and short travel times make exploring easy. It was quiet in September and was still warm and dry.
The apartment was spacious with a lovely lived in feel with super views of the small harbour and local restaurants.
Riccardo was very attentive and a great host, full of ideas and suggestions and took the time to go through in detail the various maps and public transport information he had provided in the apartment. Highly recommend this property.

I cannot say enough great things about this rental. The location is in the heart of an idyllic Ligurian coastal town with restaurants and bars steps away. The rooms are spacious with 2 bedrooms on the back to keep things quiet. A beautiful bathroom and easy convenient kitchen with a relaxing living room with gorgeous views. The host was so kind and has lots of photo books of Ligurian coast as well as maps that make easy decide what to see by boat train or bus. You will love this apartment. If I can work it out I will definitely be back.

We have stayed in many VRBOs, but I believe that this one is our favorite to date! Riccardo is so helpful every step of the way, and his apartment is stunning inside and out. You won’t believe the location, and how glamorous yet comfortable it is. We definitely plan to come back, and we loved our time in Nervi.

just fantastic
Just a fantastic apartment for our family’s first days on our first trip to Italy! Riccardo is a wonderful host; he met the four of us at the train station and walked us to the apartment which is even nicer than depicted here. He gave us quick tips on the local restaurants, all very nice (pay attention — he was right about everything!), how to catch the ferry for a lovely day trip to Camogli/SanFrutuosso/Portofino, how to catch the 17 bus to and from Genoa, how to walk to a local beach etc. We felt very welcomed and Riccardo’s help made our stay there perfect. The harbor area and restaurants are all very pleasant in the evenings, and it was easy and quick to get to Genoa and the Cinque Terre towns. Thank you Riccardo for making such great memories for us!

We happened upon this property at the end of our two-week vacation because we planned to stay in Piedmont but the temps were 10-15 degrees cooler on the sea - and we are so pleased with our decision! Our host, Riccardo, went above and beyond to make our stay and experience wonderful. First of all, Riccardo met us on the roundabout near the apartment and helped us find a parking spot and bring our luggage up two flights of stairs. We had a few issues that he resolved right away. The apartment is situated right on the sea with beautiful views and located near many restaurants as well as a walking path. Riccardo gave us instruction on how to visit the small town on the sea via train and ferry. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this apartment.

Gorgeous Views from an Amazing Apartment
Let's first start with what a wonderful host Riccardo is. We've met with dozens of hosts, but Riccardo is a cut above. He literally spent over an hour going over the apartment, sites to see in the area, which specific trains to catch, restaurant recommendations, everything. By the time he was finished we had revised all of our plans. I can't emphasize how a caring and knowledgeable host like Riccardo can make your holiday so much more enjoyable. Thank you Riccardo!!
Now, as to the apartment, I could just say look at the pictures. But its even better and larger than the pictures. Plus you can't smell the sea breeze or hear the gentle lapping of the waves! I never knew my wife was a beach person, but every morning she would open the large windows to listen to the waves. The kitchen is fantastic and enormous by Italian standards - as is the main shower which will fit 4 or 5 people!! Both bedrooms are also large - with Air Con in BOTH!! How luxurious is that.
The location is also amazing - I must have gotten fried calamari at Fritolando downstairs at least 5 or 6 times. If you like long walks along the sea - well, Nervi is the perfect place for you.
We will definitely be staying here again.

Peaceful oasis on the beach/ocean.
First off, we would stay here again and and again. Riccardo is super helpful and responsive and this place is beautiful. Clean, spacious, modern and charming all describe this condo/apartment that is only 10 steps across the promenade to the beach, restaurants, foccacerias, cafe’s and super markets (all in very close proximity). Everything you need is here - just bring some clothes and a toothbrush:) Very relaxing and beautiful. You won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely fabulous
One of the best if not the best rental we have ever stayed in. We have rented many places in Europe and the Fisherman's house has EVERYTHING. The photos do it justice but you have to experience the views to really appreciate it. Nervi is a gorgeous unspoilt very Italian village. We didn't hear another English voice.
Despite being in the middle of the pandemic, which made it quieter than normal,we had an amazing time.
The apartment is immaculate and Riccardo had left everything we needed, hand wash, shower creme, loo rolls , kitchen roll and more towels than you could ever use, plus beach towels and a parasol.
There is so much to do in the area and with the train station a short walk along the coastel path we were able to go everywhere,4 Cinque terre villages in one day,S. Margherita,Portofino,Bogliasco,Camogli and a day in Genoa. And of course the little beach in front of the house. Riccardo gave us lots of tips, and was right about Chicos gelato and the nearby focaccia and Pizza.
We found that everyone observed the covid restrictions and mask wearing was widespread. We felt safer in Italy than at home
We had lots of on line conversation with Riccardo because of all the changes this year and he was so lovely and so helpful. He met us at the station and helped with the bags and offered to do the same on returning.
Riccardo ,my husband, daughter, and myself want to say a big thank you for the use of your beautiful house,in your beautiful village,in a beautiful part of Italy.
It was touch and go that we would be able to travel at all but it was the highlight of an otherwise difficult year. We still have more to see so will return in the future.

true locals beach hangout
This apartment is located in the charming marina of Nervi and it was as stunning as the pictures! If you are looking for a unique seaside village where you can mix with the locals and not trip over other tourists with their Rick Steve’s books, look no further!
The apartment was quite comfortable. We loved being on the promenade near restaurants and shopping. What a treat to be across the street from the beach! It’s a true locals beach hangout and we enjoyed watching Italian families and friends gather.
Riccardo was an exceptional host, greeting us at the train station, helping with the ridiculous amount of luggage we were toting and accompanying us to the apartment where we found a welcome treat. He made sure we used our short time wisely. My only complaint is that we did not stay longer!

Beautiful, perfectly situated spot on the Mediterranean!
We (4 of us, two couples) were here for 7 nights and this apartment, location, and proprietor were all perfect. Riccardo is an incredible host, meeting us at the train, helping with luggage, giving tons of information on local restaurants and transportation, and more. The apartment is beautifully situated in the little town of Genova Nervi, on the water looking out on the Mediterranean. The kitchen is very well set up for cooking and the local shops (5 - 10 minute walk) offer a supermarket as well as individual shops with focaccia, meats, produce, pasta, and of course gelato. The primary bedroom has a large modern bathroom; the 2nd bedroom has a very small bathroom but it works fine. There are two flights of steep stairs to get to the apartment. The walk to the train station is stunningly beautiful, the best 10-minute walk ever. Nervi is a perfect base camp to choose between the city of Genoa or the gorgeous seaside villages such as Camogli, Rapallo, Bogliasco. No need for a car.
Also Riccardo was very quick to fix a couple of things that broke while we we there — he is easily accessible with WhatsApp.
Cannot recommend highly enough!

Paradise on the Nervi promenade
Great house with a wonderful owner. We arrived in Nervi and were greeted by Ricardo who gave us a lot of information on where to eat and what to see, we also had welcome drinks and chips waiting for us. The apartment was clean and comfortable and in a great location, would definitely stay again and recommend to a friend

Beautiful apartment in a great location.
Our family of four very much enjoyed staying in Riccardo's beautiful apartment. It has everything you need and is in a fantastic location for taking a ferry to pretty villages and towns along the coast and for visiting the centre of Genoa by bus or train. Riccardo is an excellent host providing lots of really helpful information including before we arrived and his recommendations for local restaurants were very useful! Many thanks Riccardo!

Wonderful apartment and host
Probably the best apartment we will ever stay in. The Host, Riccardo, couldn't do enough to ensure that we had a great week - and we did

Beautiful!
This apartment is bigger than expected ... and so clean. There is everything you need here. And this quiet little town is a gem! Restaurants are delicious ... people are friendly ... and there are beautiful cities close by to visit - just a train or ferry ride away. Riccardo was responsive and very very welcoming. If you stay here, take all of his recommendations to heart! We wish we had visited a couple of places he suggested, but we just didn’t make it - next time!

Lovely renovated apartment in charming seaside town
We enjoyed our brief trip to Nervi, even though it was a bit rainy. We visited Genoa and Cinque Terre easily from here, but our best day was on a private boat tour that picked us up right in the Nervi port. The sea towns of the Genoa region are lovely and less touristy than Cinque Terre.
Riccardo recommended fabulous local restaurants, sites to visit and even left a bottle of prosecco for us to begin our visit. And he has the best beds we have ever found in Italy :-) Lovely all around!
