Every one was very helpful and friendly, the food was great.
Only negative were the normal towels on sun beds with no one on them meaning if you went out in the morning you had no chance of sitting by the pool.

Really nice room with direct access to pool.
Most of the staff was nice and helpful, especially the cleaning staff and the manager. Perfect service in that regard.
The pizza was really good.
The quality of the food is not good and almost no change during the week. We gave up eating at the hotel as the food had no flavour at all and the menu was overall bad.
On top, the young guy serving drinks during dinner (where there was almost always a long queue) seemed irritated when you asked for something to drink.
So don’t choose the hotel for the food (besides the pizza)

Staff is very polite,hardworking.

The hotel is very cosy and the staff is very friendly and helpful.Location is great,many visited places and the most beautiful beaches are easy to reach.Best wishes to Asteris and Janis,they are always in a good mood and very helpful.The food is always fresh with the great variety of choice.

The alcoholic drinks were not good, you could only have beer, wine, ouzo or brandy upto 6.30pm where you then had a selection of drinks available until 11.30 then you had to pay for drinks
The main barman was rude when he could be bothered to serve you !!!! (People complained about him) but he never changed
He was more interested in paying guests 😡😡
This hotel is not as close to the beach as stated, be prepared for a walk

The hotel is unbelievably clean, really friendly staff, great pool for kids of all ages. Food available most of the day (pizza outside restaurant hours in the day an gyros in the evenings) and it's located on the main strip so you have shops to wander around. 5 min walk to a good beach, great transport links about 40 mins to Lindos an 50 to Rhodes.
For what you pay this place will honestly be hard to beat.
Rooms could do with an update but we're comfortable.
The only real improvement I can suggest is designed smoking areas.
Some days it was impossible to keep kids away from large amounts of smoke without leaving the pool area.
This obviously is guest dependant but on bad days there was no place to take our kid without exposing him to smoke which meant we were forced to out the area which wasn't great. A few other families mentioned this while we were there too.

The location was good . Half way between lindos and rhodes town. Close to the beach. Car hire. The food.
The pool went deep to quickly. Lack of entertainment in the hotel.

I stayed in Marathon Hotel in August with my Mum and
sister- I couldn't imagine a better experience than what we
had at the Marathon hotel. Everything- from super friendly
staff, swimming pools, accommodation to delicious food
was top quality. I am gluten-free and vegan and I had plenty
to eat in our all-inclusive meals. Also, fantastic choice of
fruits!
I recommend staying at the Marathon Hotel to everyone!

Great hotel with all inclusive option. Between standard meals there was pizza by the pool and in the night gyros/pita which was really great. Ice cream during the day also available. Pool was deep which is not so common. Food was OK, you can always find something. May have been a little more options with fruit. Sweets even if they looked different they tasted almost the same - if you like a sugar boost then it will be OK:) Staff wonderful!
Wi-fi could have been a little more stable, pool open till 19 which was OK but still could have been open a little longer. All inclusive drinks - only 6 to choose from and all made from sweet syrop-like ingridients so this could be upgraded.

The hotel was recently renovated. We have been warmly welcomed and the staff kept the attitude for the whole stay. Family rooms were new and well fitted. Pools were big and spacious enough. The bar by the pool was open from breakfast till midnight. By the pool they were also serving pizza the whole day and pitas after dinner until midnight. There were entertainments at night twice per week.
The vacation just lasted two weeks... 😐

The staff was very friendly. The pool was large and very clean. The location was very close to the beach, 500m, and in the center of the town. The food was good. The pizza and kabab stand was excellent, which is open outside of the normal meal hours.
The room was a small, the beds barely fit. The coffee is made from concentrate and not whole beans. This is a minor issue.

Good hotel, great location, a lot of shop and restaurants around. So tasty meal, clean rooms, friendly staff, nice garden. Just one moments, but its not vine of hotel, more advice to other travellers that there is no money exchange(dollars into euro) in city or banks, we spent a lot of time to find where to change and did not find (so in next my trip i will think about it before)

The staff was very kind, polite and funny at the same time! They were really taking care of the guests. The food was absolutely amazing! We spent a wonderful time in the hotel and in Rhodes.

Not enough sunbeds, which are reserved from early morning by the tourists by putting the towels on (what is not allowed to do) . It was hard to find free sunbeds even in the afternoon.

-The hotel is old and one should not set one's expectations too high, we would grade it 3 stars.
-If you are used to all inclusive, you have to get used to the fact that there is a time limit on the various things, e.g. no ice cream after 5 p.m.
-There is mostly only 1 employee in the various bars, snacks and drinks, it can give waiting time

Very big hotel, close to main road but still nice and quiet. staff extremely friendly and helpful. All food was delicious, fresh and huge choice . Bus stop next to the hotel to all important place. Plenty rentals shops.

we feel should have a smoking area around the pool area.
It's not very nice when you are not smoker to have people sunbathing all around you smoking and dirty ashtrays around you.
In a lot of hotels now there are designated smoking areas for smokers.

Beds were comfortable, the location is great
People from the hotel don’t smile and never interact with guests (except for Asteris who was great all the time and the pizza/kebab man).
Is NOT an all inclusive hotel, just few things are included such as chemical fruit juice and softs, beer, wine, ouzo and brandy. Except the snack there is no way to have even an apple in the middle of the day. After that the room service passed, they left my door room open 4 times on a 12 days trip 😡

Great hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The pool is terrific and the location in Kolympia is very central. We really enjoyed the variety of food and drinks available, the dining area was never crowded ,we loved the alll day pizza from the wood fired oven. We would definitely stay here again.
