The location is perfect. The pools were very clean, warm and fun. The beach right across the street was about a 10 minute walk using the elevators.
The room itself was dirty and clearly not maintained. The shared bathroom toilet was clogged most of our trip. We called maintenance and they came and told us the toilet needed to be replaced. The bunkbed was unstable and wobbly. The patio furniture was literally falling apart. Every chair outside was missing a piece under the leg so they were unstable. The floors were disgusting, so the cleaning service never cleans them. The slidding door was so hard to open, the handle broke off. Maintenance came and fixed the handle and said the wheels need to be replaced and the track was very dirty. The master bedroom was 10 degrees hoter than the rest of the condo. The appliances were old and hard to use. The fridge kept freezing everything. The pans were so old, they made the food taste weird. The couch in the living room is old, stained and dirty. The cusions are so flat you can feel the frame when youre sitting on it. The linen on the beds were so old, they had little balls on them so bring your own sheets. Everything was very cheap, old and dirty. We will definitely be back to the restort, but not in this unit!
The company itself answered all of our questions very fast and had maintenance out quickly.

The satisfaction that we got from staying on this resort is almost unmatched. There was so much to do! The code we were given to the door did not work, however, their response was very quick and we were still able to get in quickly. were new travelers and there was 10 people in our group and we took three different cars. I didn’t realize that we only can park two of them in the parking garage if they went over and above to how much locate parking for a car close by. We had a ton of space. I would highly recommend!!!

This property was the best we have stayed at!! Definitely looking forward to stay here again!! Plenty of room for 10 people, loved the washer and dryer that was a must!! Gorgeous view 😍 sunrise was to die for!! Night view was gorgeous!! 10 min walk to the beach we didn’t mind!!

My family loves Destin West and have been coming for years. I have been disappointed before when the property is managed by a real estate company/property group and not an individual. They just don’t have the same level of care. With this condo, we knew we couldn’t get in early so we kept ourselves busy all day. We get there at 4:30pm and the code doesn’t work. I called the office number, was put on hold for 15 minutes and when I finally spoke to someone they were not concerned. They said the code must have not been updated. I asked to receive an email of the correct code and I never got an email. There were no wash clothes in the unit. Not the cleanest, floors were very dirty. But it is a beautiful unit, spacious, great view.

Condo was very dirty and we had workmen in the condo for several hours due to a plumbing issue. Also, lazy river was closed for a full day. When I texted property management I got no response. Not even an acknowledgement of my communication.

The condo is located in the Destin West complex which is nicely maintained, close to the beach and a very family friendly property. The condo unit was another story. The kitchen was very poorly equipped with mismatched supplies that were old and incomplete. The bunk bed was wobbly and upon inspection, we observed stress cracks in the wood frame. Also, there were dirty clothes and food under the bed apparently left by previous guests. The living room furniture was filthy and the sofa cushions worn so they flattened into the sofa bed mattress. The deck furniture seemed about to fall apart, we tightened bolts as best we could without tools and the lounge chairs had no cushions and were gray from the weather. Lastly, there was no airflow in the primary bedroom and the dehumidifier exhausted warm air into the connected bathroom. We made the best of our vacation, but I would not recommend this condo unit until steps are taken to correct the problems.

We didn’t get in our condo until 440 when we were supposed to get in at 4. Faucet on kitchen sink broke and they need to update patio set on porch it is wobbly and chairs are broke plus no cushions for white plastic chairs. Also we purchased a wagon you will need to get one to walk to beach. Would be nice to have a grill on patio too. Condo was very nice complex is clean and pools, hot tubs are awesome. We would stay again it was a fantastic vacation.

Very attractive unit. Very quiet. we were very comfortable, however, there were very few places to hang wet towels and swimming suits. The jets in the master bathroom did not work and we were not able to connect to the wi-fi. I called the telephone number on the refrigerator for "questions" but it only seemed to be for emergencies.

Great family-friendly property
This was our family's first time renting this unit. It was clean, gorgeous, and felt like our own home (minus the stress). The owners went above and beyond by offering family games and a little library. The short walk to beach was well worth it! Hint: the lazy river is not heated and very cold in November. The management was quick to reply to all of my questions.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay and the unit was comfortable. Beds were really comfortable. Only issue was the cleanliness of the unit. We arrived initially at 445pm which was 45 minutes after allowable checkin and the cleaning person was still in the unit. The place was a mess as it appeared the folks before us left a huge mess and disarray (all of the couch cushions were turned up like someone had been jumping on them or playing catch with the cushions, not sure what that was about). We told the cleaning person we would come back and we headed out for groceries. She said she only needed 30 minutes, seeing the condition of the property, I could not see how this would be possible. I offered longer and she said she would have it done in 30 minutes. We headed to Walmart for groceries and then to grab dinner and arrived back after 6. The place was tidy but still dirty. The floors were visibly dirty and sticky (we had to wear socks or shoes the whole time because our feet would turn black from walking on them). The stainless steel fridge and dishwasher were filthy with food and smudges everywhere. Countertops were dirty. The bedroom carpets were not vacuumed, there was still debris on the carpets from the previous guests and when we would sit in the couch we could see debris and food under the couch, we didn’t dare actually look under them based on how the edges looked. I would recommend this place overall but only if the cleaning was done better. In reading the reviews no one else had an issue so maybe there was a new cleaning person or she was having a bad day, who knows, we all have them right? We literally had to clean and disinfect the entire unit to ourselves in order to stay here. Nice furniture and views. Beach is a little crowded and the whole front of the water is taken by several “set-up companies” and their chairs and umbrellas and for those that do not want to pay the daily $40.00 set up fee you are stuck crammed in together behind them with zero view of the shoreline and you have to walk through the setups and people to get to the water. However, if you drive about a mile east you will see public beach access. There was barely anyone there at all. We went there everyday after the first. Overall a good spot and close to everything!

I love how spacious the condo was and well stocked. Loved the decor and the fact that it is kid friendly. The ammenities were amazing. We loved the lazy river and all of the different pools (especially the kids' hot tub!) The bay was beautiful-we saw dolphins give us our own show!! Highly recommend renting the double pontoon next door to take to Crab Island!!! Rick's was DELICIOUS! So convenient to not have to drive far to get to everything! Highly recommend this place!!!

From the personal note to the clear communication through regular emails, Real Joy was so helpful in making the process smooth and enjoyable! The property did not disappoint! I love how spacious the condo was and well stocked. Loved the decor and the fact that it is kid friendly. The ammenities were amazing. We loved the lazy river and all of the different pools (especially the kids' hot tub!) The bay was beautiful-we saw dolphins give us our own show!! Highly recommend renting the double pontoon next door to take to Crab Island!!! Rick's was DELICIOUS! So convenient to not have to drive far to get to everything! Highly recommend this place!!!

Awesome Vacation!!
This was our 4th time staying at Destin West. We loved every minute! Comfortable beds and everything we needed for our stay. Perfect size for our group of 7. Lazy River was Awesome and just a short walk to the beach! We will be back!!!!

I did not have enough bands to get into the pool I had 6 bands and 9 people so three people had to sit out of goin to the pool or private beach because there are people who check when you walk in. When trying to contact and let them know they never responded and I sent 3 different emails! So that had me mad that 3 people had to sit out because there was not enough bands! I rented this condo just for the lazy river. But place was clean,good location

When I tried to communicate by phone, I couldn’t get a response; by email, it was returned undeliverable. Someone did call back me Saturday, but we never got arm bands. The condo was perfect! I know they were dealing with Hurricane Sally, but they were not very helpful.

Great condo. Grounds could have been a little cleaner. Need to pressure wash walkways and clean elevators. Our family loved the lazy river and access to the bay.

Beautiful view! Wonderful amenities! Easy access to the beach. The unit needs some TLC and cleaning. Rugs were dirty. Furniture needs to be cleaned. Found cups with crumbs. Master shower leaks onto floor. Secondary bath is so clogged that it pools up to the ankles.

We had two families (4 adults and 6 kids) and never felt cramped. Location is great and the pool amenities were a hit with the whole group. We will be back!

Excellent space for large families!
The property was very nice, clean, and accommodating for our large family! The only downside was that the splash pad is no longer operating. However, my children enjoyed the pools and lazy river! We also loved the convenience of the sky walk to the beach! We will definitely book again!
