Candlewood Suites - Memphis East by IHG

There is no breakfast provided at this hotel. It makes it difficult when being gone for so long. They do have small kitchens which helps, but they only have 2 of everything so I was constantly washing dishes. The on site food station where you can purchase some food lacked in choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful though. The parking lot was not fenced in, but overall I felt safe. Plus there are many restaurants and stores very close by. That was nice. They are currently updating furniture and paint which is very nice.

The one thing that I really did not like was that my room was only cleaned once every 7 days. If I wanted clean towels, I had to trade them in at the front desk. I have never had to do this before. Plus because I was trying to use the kitchenette, I had way more garbage. I had to throw my garbage out at the dumpster. There are signs everywhere saying we had to throw out our own garbage. I think this hotel is more for long stay clients. It is more like studio apartments. If you're looking for more of a hotel feel where you have a lot more amenities, I would go somewhere else.

the place was neat and clean. The room had a simple kitchen which was good. The down side was there was no breakfast not even in the vending machine to eat except candy. It looked like COVID adversely affected their breakfast and food services.

The hotel was quite, which was great. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were soft with the option of a firmer one if preferred. Nice kitchenette area.

The guy checking us in didn't give us much information. The WiFi password was in the room key holder but he didn't point it out. He wasn't rude at all but not overly friendly either. Wish they offered breakfast.

Location

A/C WAS NOT CONTROLLABLE TOO HOT. TOO MUCH AIR FRESHIER EVERY WHERE. NO ICE BUCKETS.NO WATER PRESSURE IN SHOWER. Lighting was poor.
