When I needed a hotel to stay at, I came here as I've stayed here before. Central location to Lake Superior rock hounding spots! The best part of staying here was that there was an elevator! I am a solo traveler and I felt safe. Great place to stay!

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We got upgraded to a large 2 bedroom corner room which was the size of an apartment, great for friends and family traveling together. It was also affordable for our dog to stay. Continental breakfast was very good - biscuits and gravy were top notch. Pool and hot tub were nice too, amd open later than usual which was nice.

Property was clean, I very much enjoyed the jacuzzi.
Some of the staff could be more personable. I felt less like a guest and more of an unwelcome visitor. Breakfast was very unappealing. I was told I couldn’t have an extra pillow due to there being a “full house”. The jacuzzi/pool could use a fresh coat of paint. The jacuzzi had paint chips floating in it.
