Maleo Moyo Hotel & Dive Resort

Same as I wrote for Lovina, what do you expect and what you get and for us it was perfect. Deny is a great manager and his personal (of course) the same. Sometimes I read “they try to …” (but that’s Asia generally) ok, go to Switzerland and pay 500 EUR a night, maybe that satisfies. But then you’re in the wrong place and most probably also in the wrong country either 🤣. People are so nice and they did everything we had such a pleasant time and we’ve been a week in Maleo. Diving just great with reasonable price by the way. And it’s adjacent to the village and you have the chance to get a feeling how the live is on the island.

The restaurant and pool area was lovely. Fantastic view over the ocean. Location and staff were great. As the deluxe rooms were booked out we had to stay in standard no bathroom room, which were not the best. The linen was very clean and of good quality. Would definitely stay again if we could get a deluxe room.

The thin walls ( just woven cane) between the standard (no bathroom rooms) meant you could hear complete conversations from the neighbouring rooms and see light through the spaces of the weaving. The bed was a mattress on the floor. The building was elevated so access was via very steep ladder stairs and it shook when anyone walked around.

Good location in the village, good food.

The villas close to street which could be noisy with late night music playing. Not ideal when you think you are going this remote!

The staff is very friendly.

No Wifi!!!!!!!! No electricity !!!!!!! in the Hotel from 6am to 6pm.
