Old Hawaiian Bed and Breakfast

The beautiful 1930s house, the well-manicured grounds and my spacious room were all very impressive. I loved the large windows in my room! The recent renovations were well done with a lot of attention to detail. The breakfasts on the lanai were delicious and enjoyable. It was nice talking with fellow travelers. The Hosts were so nice and great with communication. I think my favorite part of staying here was walking barefoot in the soft grass in the backyard. The location of Old Hawaiian B&B was very convenient to sightseeing around the Hilo area, including the beautiful beaches. When I next visit Hilo, I will definitely be staying here again!

The breakfast was not fancy, but lovely, with fruits from the hosts' garden and fresh baked pastry (every day Stewart baked something different). The best part of the breakfast was though talking to other guests and the host. Stewart is an interesting person to talk about - he knows a lot about the island, gave us great travel advices and shared interesting stories. Though the B&B is not located in the center of Hilo, it turned out very well placed for us - next to two famous waterfalls and a lava tube, very short drive to the downtown. Just a perfect mix.

La camera (Hawaiian Room) era molto accogliente e spaziosa. I proprietari del bed and breakfast sono molto accoglienti e disponibili, ma allo stesso tempo discreti. Ogni giorno la colazione a base di frutta fresca e pasticcini fatti in casa, viene servita sul Lanai (terrazza coperta). Questo b&b è un’ottima scelta per soggiornare a Hilo, vicino a molte attrazioni della zona.

The backyard views are absolutely stunning, and the breakfast was amazing. I also loved the list of local restaurants and places they personally recommend and go to, with full directions included. Really helpful when visiting from abroad!
