The Bourne Cottage offre un luogo di vacanza ideale per famiglie e amici che vogliono sfuggire al caos della vita moderna. Ha tre ali distinte con 8 camere da letto.
Costruito nel 1783, il Bourne Cottage è su undici ettari su Indian Neck a capo della baia di Buzzard. La zona Indian Neck è case --few molto privati molta terra.
La struttura si trova sul lungomare di Bourne Cove, una baia di acqua salata con ostriche, vongole e pesce. C'è un molo privato lì per il nuoto e il lancio di barche non motorizzati. Una piacevole passeggiata di dieci minuti lungo una strada di campagna, stretta porta uno alla spiaggia sulla baia di Buzzard. Gli inquilini hanno accesso alla spiaggia privata lì.
Windsurf, canoa, vela, nuoto, kayak e tennis sono modi popolari per trascorrere le giornate. Entrambe le spiagge degradano dolcemente in acqua e sono l'ideale per i bambini e gli anziani simili. L'acqua in Buzzards Bay è piacevolmente calda per fare il bagno e non c'è da surf o risacca pericolosa.
Prego notare: la casa ha quattro bagni. Uno dei bagni ha una doccia. Gli altri tre hanno gli originali artiglio piedi vasche con allegati tubi doccia. Vi è anche un grande, doccia esterna con acqua calda.
Si tratta di una chiave di basso, avere i piedi bagnati e sabbia posto familiare.
Se volete aria condizionata e tv a grande schermo, questo posto non fa per voi.
Se avete paura di alcuni bug e vogliono le spiagge rastrellati e privo di alghe, questo posto non fa per voi.
Se amate la bellezza naturale, vicini di casa tranquillo, kayak ed esplorare le acque calde, e un luogo dove i bambini sono al sicuro a cavallo intorno in bicicletta ... avete trovato il Cielo. Questo posto è per voi!

We enjoyed a lovely peaceful stay at Bourne cottage with family and friends. The house can certainly accommodate a crowd and the expansive lawn and views over the marsh and fields offer up peaceful evenings with breezes rolling off the bay. We enjoyed the cove and bay beach for fishing and rock/seashell collecting but for nice sandy swimming beaches we went elsewhere.
A few things we noted about the listing were that the property may be on 11 acres but you do not have access to the 11 acres as most of it is marsh. There is a second house on the property that may have owners/guests during your stay and there is no direct water access from the house which you might think based on some pictures and the use of “waterfront.” Access to the cove and private beach are both about ½ mile away/15 minute walk.
Regardless, we did truly enjoy our stay, just think there could be some refined description to the listing. The house truly offers and old age cabin feel and was great for bonding and reconnecting with family and friends, reading and lawn games!

A few things we noted about the VRBO listing were that the property may be on 11 acres but you do not have access to the 11 acres as most of it is overgrown marsh. There is a second house on the property that may have owners/guests during your stay and there is no direct water access from the house which you might think based on some pictures and the use of “waterfront.” Access to the cove and private beach are both about a 15 minute walk.
Regardless, we did truly enjoy our stay, just think there could be some refined description to the listing. The house truly offers an old world feel and was great for bonding and reconnecting with family and friends, reading and lawn games!

This was our second year in a row and we enjoyed ourselves at the cottage even more than last time!

An extraordinary home in a lovely setting. True, no TV or AC, but no one missed them for a moment, spending time instead playing on the vast lawn, sitting together in any of the three separate “living room” areas or on the perfect screened porch. Loved the antiques and art on the wall and the very well-equipped kitchen. There are many bedrooms from which to choose and would recommend the lower levels for anyone with children or stair considerations. And, yes, there are antiques and basket weave chairs we were asked to respect, but we had a 4 year old, who had no problem doing so and loved exploring all the many rooms and hearing about the secret passage or hideaways where slaves may have been hidden. Our group consisted of 3 over the age of 67, 3 adults, 1 child, 1 baby, and 1 well-trained dog. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a naturally beautiful, quiet and restful time on the Cape.
