Location is excellent and the beds are super comfortable. Well maintained beautiful garden and surroundings, making it feel relaxing. An oasis in the middle of chaos. The hotel is relatively small and feels private. Pool is small but excellent. Staff are attentive, warm, helpful, friendly and kind and breakfast is great. We booked a family room, which are not easy to find in Bali as we discovered, and this turned out to be a private compound with a 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms villa. For my dad I booked the double room with balcony.

We had some noise every night from a festival at the museum on the main street but I am sure this was an unusual event and it did stop around 10pm. We had the family suite with 2 bedrooms which is massive but impersonal and was a bit scary for the kids. Cleanliness could have been better. My dad who travelled with us, had a nicer double bed room that also appeared cleaner.

We love Samhita.. stayed here many times over the last 15yrs and it never disappoints

Only negative is that Jalan Bismhah is getting way too busy .. and the condition of the road is getting worse every year .. certainly no reflection on Samhita

Near food places. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent but the coffee was poor and service was very slow when they had more guests.

Children and Senior unfriendly. Too many stairs without railings. No shelter during wet weather. It was difficult and scary to walk after dark because of the steep stairs leading to the rooms. Room cleaning and lighting in the room could be better. Rooms by the entrance were noisy from the bar opposite the resort. But these rooms had fewer steps and bumpy ground. Room air con wasn't working well until the last day. They fixed it. Hair dryer was too weak to blow dry my hair.
