The Hillside Hideaway è una casa privata che si trova su un terreno alberato di 1 1/2 acro circondato da bellissimi alberi e una vista mozzafiato sul porto di Auke Bay. Goditi gli splendidi tramonti sul portico o intorno al pozzo del fuoco mentre osservi le balene e le barche che passano. Sei a pochi minuti dalla pesca e tour di avvistamento delle balene. Prendi una bella strada panoramica di 7 miglia fino al Ghiacciaio di Mendenhall o 13 miglia dal nostro centro città verso molti ristoranti o negozi di souvenir. Ci sono 2 camere da letto, 1 bagno, soggiorno, soggiorno, cucina e ampio ingresso con lavatrice, asciugatrice e congelatore. Master suite ha un letto king size, seconda camera da letto ha un letto full size. Sia le stanze viventi che le stanze sedute hanno i divani a grandezza naturale. Inoltre è fornito un materasso ad aria se necessario.

As advertised, this house was comfortable, had beautiful views and a great location just north of Juneau.
The property is a 2 bedroom all on the same level which was perfect for my elderly father who does not navigate stairs very well. Our group of 3 adults used the cot mattress which turned out pretty well given the spaciousness of the house.
Not knowing how the kitchen would be stocked, we stopped on the way and bought a number of supplies and spices, but didn’t need most of what we bought as the kitchen is pretty well stocked.
We spent most nights at the fire pit with a glass of wine enjoying the boats coming into the harbor. Very relaxing.
I would definitely recommend this property!

We had a wonderful 10 nights at this property - location with stunning views of Auke Bay was a real plus, and being away from the cruise ship crowds was a bonus! Prompt response from owner with questions we had, beds were comfortable and two living areas was perfect for us. Wish there was more lighting in the dining room area, and having another bathroom would have been perfect. We truly enjoyed our stay in Juneau with good friends, great food (Island Pub on Douglas Island for pizza - fantastic!), we cooked lots of fresh seafood from Jerry's Meats and Seafood Market every single day, and the gift of a bottle of wine was a lovely touch - thank you!

Loved the location overlooking Auke Bay. We fished everyday out of Auke so this was very convenient. Enjoyed being away from tourists on the cruise ships.
Only went out to eat one time, so easy to cook and eat and home.

We stayed here for the Inaugural Ironman Alaska and this property was perfect, It's location close to UAS and the Mendenhall valley was great and made it a very easy stay for us. The views were great and the large mud room was great for cleaning a drying our gear after being out in the weather. Thank you for a great stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Great visit to Hillside Hideaway
We had a wonderful visit to Hillside Hideaway. The house was spacious and very clean, with a nice view of Auk Bay. It was very quiet and peaceful, with easy access to the airport, stores, and outdoor adventures. We hope to return!

A great stay for a family with kids. You can cook in the kitchen but also have the option to grill on the porch while looking out over the bay. Very close to what we wanted to do and out from downtown and the cruise ship crowds. Managed to lock myself out of the house and the owner quickly answered my call and helped me. I was quite impressed!

We had a wonderful time staying here. We woke up seeing the mountains and Auke Bay every morning. It was clean, comfortable and perfect for us. If we ever return to Juneau, we will be staying here again.

The location of this property is very convenient, close to Auke Bay, Mendenhall Glacier, shopping, and a short drive to the airport and Downtown. The view of Auke Bay from the home is lovely. Eagles landed in nearby trees almost everyday of our stay. The patio and deck provide ample opportunity for enjoying the out of doors.
The home was clean, with plenty of living space and all the necessary amenities.

We loved our time in the Juneau area and hiked to the Mendenhall Glacier twice! This home was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind after the fun days enjoying Juneau and the surrounding area. It is perfectly located in the middle of everything, yet out of the beaten path so you can enjoy peace and quiet. Rose was an incredibly responsive host and gave us so much great information along the way. I would highly recommend this home as a base of operations for any family vacation to the Juneau area.

Beautiful inside and out!
The property is a great location for exploring the Juneau area. Sitting on the covered front porch every morning and seeing eagles fly by! Away from the cruise ship traffic of downtown Juneau and plenty of local restaurants to try. The house inside was perfect for us. Plenty of room to spread out in with two living rooms. The fire pit was a fun evening outside relaxing. The beds are really comfortable, and everything was very clean. I would highly recommend staying here.
