Property was very rundown, in need of a complete overhaul
Dust clumps hanging from walls
Had to go to rental company to report the filthy condition of the air conditioner filter. It was replaced immediately BUT did nothing to clean the dirty air conditioner vents in all rooms. I wondered about the quality of the air we were breathing. Annoying things like patio doors very difficult and noisy to slid. My husband had to buy lubricant to apppy to the doors…helped very little.
In general I would not recommend this rental. I hear it is to be painted but it’s overall condition needs a lot more than paint.
Their ad claims “ lovingly maintained “
This is far from true. When I visited the rental company the agent said the unit is always rented so there is no time free to overhaul it. This is what I dealt with.
I do NOT recommend this unit and advise you to contact them before you rent to see if any of the important issues have been addressed.

Obviously owned by an absentee landlord. The soffit in the kitchen in front of the AC vent was covered in dust and dirt, there is black and green mold in the bathrooms, the sliding doors to the lanai barely slide, the two sofas are dilapidated and should have been replaced long ago, the walls are in dire need of paint, not to mention the Formica coming off on the countertops and vanities. Definitely not worth the money and they raised the price for next year! The good part is the condo is a short walk to the beach!

The condo had everything we needed. The pool was nice and everyone we met at the pool was very nice. Location was great as it is centrally located on the island. We could walk or bike everywhere we wanted to go. We would stay at this property again.

Overall the location was convenient. Loved proximity to Publix and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. We were not impressed with the unit itself. it definitely needs to be updated! We have been condo owners ourselves and and felt a responsibility to provide a clean and fresh place to stay. This unit needs paint, bedding (one twin bed frame was broken), better stocked kitchen and a deep clean. My sister stayed in the one next to us and it was much nicer and cleaner. We had issues with the pool which was disappointing as we booked for the use of a pool, but I will give the manager credit for compensating us. However we would much rather has use of the pool. But he was very helpful. So we appreciated that.

The property was quiet, close to the pool, and centrally located on the island. The unit was clean and well appointed. The only issue is the parking is very tight, we were in a minivan and it was a tight squeeze to fit into the covered parking space.

We had a great time as usual. We love the proximity to the Publix grocery store and the easy walk to the beach. The few things that broke while we were there were fixed very quickly. My only negative comment is that the place could use a coat of paint as a number of the corners of the wall are a bit banged up.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property. If you don't mind going up and down stairs, this is a nice workout, hehe. The only downs, personally, were the small sofa bed that is pretty outdated, I would suggest to remove it, or replace it. Also, I strongly recommend to remove all the unnecessary items in the drawers (bedrooms/nighstands//closets/bathrooms/kitchen), especially when you have little children and want to explore everything. This made me feel stressed out, I had to constantly check on them making sure nothing was taken out, etc... The TV in the master bedroom could be updated too, please. I was glad to have the necessary kitchenware to cook, etc. Thank you for the attention on my requests. The big plus definitely was to be able to walk to the beach! We'll consider a future stay in the future.

This unit is in a very nice location on Anna Maria island right across from Publix and about a 1/2 walk to Manatee Public Beach (walk is on sidewalks along busy main roads). It took some adjusting for me to get comfortable in the unit. The first thing I noticed was dirt stains on the couch armrest and an over-worn faux leather ottoman. I threw a sheet over the couch and accepted the fact that the description and pics were likely taken several years ago. Large comforter I pulled from the closet also appeared to have a stain and overall unit could use some updates and care. Throughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise, the nearby pool and easy beach access. If you are primarily looking for location, a more reasonably priced unit and just need function this may be a good fit.

Very nice unit in a great location but to many stairs to climb. Second floor unit, nice lanai but not much of a view.

Very nice
Very nice, like home...minus the four flights of steps. Luggage difficult to carry up. Weather was wonderful. Last day here we swam with the manatees. Walked out on City Pier, saw several dolphins at dusk, what a thrill. Enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Great Spring Break Getaway
We loved our stay at the Cove at Sandy Pointe. The condo was furnished beautifully and definitely gave you that island feel. It had everything! The beds were very comfortable and even more pull outs then we thought. We had plenty of room and loved the porch and dining table for nightly games of euchre. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you needed for the week. The area of Anna Marie Island is very quaint and perfect for a get way from the hustle and bustle. We walked everywhere or took the trolley in for dinner at Harry's -- great little restaurant - excellent food!
