The layout of the room. There was an exceptional view from a floor to i ceiling window, but nowhere to sit and appreciate it without moving a very heavy settee. The view from where it was positioned was on to the brick wall of the old racecourse stand . It took two of us to move it to a better position. A n easy chair by the window was all that was required.

Rooms are of a good standard. Arrived after dark, opened the curtains in the morning for a full view down the back straight of the racecourse, doesn't get much better than that. Didn't have the breakfast.

Easy to check in and check out.
I didn’t like that the kettle wasn’t clean and it had limescale. Travelling with a baby under 1 year old and having to prepare formula wasn’t ideal to boil water in that kettle. However, staff at the restaurant were accommodating with providing fresh boiling water from the restaurant for free.

Fourth time here and the standards haven’t fallen. Spotless. Stylish. Lovely views over the racecourse. I way out from town but excellent nonetheless.
A lack of seating in the bar area meant we had to sit in the lobby. Minor issue but could be better set out.

Staff were absolutely delightful. The hotel itself is just spectacular. The room was lovely and had everything you could need. Bathroom couldve done with a little more cleaning but nothing major!
Bathroom was a little unclean, marks in the shower and on the toilet seat. However this did not effect my stay.

The fact they added parking charges of £5 per day which weren’t advertised . Also £15 extra on top of the room charge for breakfast is a bit of a rip off to be honest .

Nice view from the queen bed suite.
The fact I had to spend 10 minutes proving I had booked for the weekend then being charged twice for the room only to be told it's not an issue!! They then went on to say it should be in my account with 5 working days..... Their mistake and they very little interest in it

It was right next to the racecourse.
The facilities in the accessible room were not well maintained. One of the arms for the seat in the shower was ripped so any germs could be living in there

We have stayed here before and it's exactly what we needed for our day at the races.
The breakfast is brilliant, great selection and something for everyone.
Room was clean and with a great view down the racecourse.
We had a small issue of no cold water in the bathroom, we reported it and they offered us a different room if the problem could not be rectified. The maintenance man came as we were going down to breakfast and before we had even finished our meal, he came to tell it was all sorted out. Brilliant service.
The mattress was too hard for me (personal preference) but fantastic for my husband.

Fantastic room with a great view of the racecourse.
Excellent staff, very attentive. Lovely lady in the restaurant at breakfast this morning, genuinely interested in our stay & plans. Facilities in room were perfect for our needs and location was exactly what we needed. We would 100% return in the future.
