We loved this property and would definitely return.
From the moment we arrived Joachim and Cristina made us feel very welcome and right at home.
The 200 year old cottage is just as described, in a wonderful location with the most fabulous outlook.
We could not wait to return each evening after exploring the gorgeous Douro River region. It was so relaxing sitting on the large outside area having wine and nibbles while taking in the vista.
We would highly recommend the train trip up the river (as well as a cruise of course!).
It took us a few minutes to find the correct driveway as we had travelled from the opposite direction to the instructions we had been given.
But we soon sorted it out.
The hot water in the shower was difficult to regulate at times.

Paradiset!

A very quiet location with the most breathtaking views. A perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The owners were very friendly and hospitable. They also offered a shuttle from the nearest railway station. They welcomed me with apples from their garden.

Owner run. The most amazing views. Farm like atmosphere. So peaceful. Hosts were so kind. Kept on giving us fresh produce from their organic garden. Freshly picked cherries, port on arrival and wine made by their family. Cinfaes has some great restaurants too
It was further from the Douro Valley than we expected but really nice for days trips all around.
