Food was amazing!!! Pool are is stunning. Staff are super friendly & helpful.

The large family room is right near the roadside and noisy but staff moved us the next night to a smaller room once it became available. They had small construction projects going on which was a little frustrating.

Very good breakfast , good cuppicino , good selection of local in season fruit

nothing , it ticked all the boxes . NOT A NEGATIVE STATEMENT , but a caution to fellow travellers , the hotel is located about 6 kms from town centre so yuo need to rent a scooter or rely on the local transport . NOT a drawback just be aware of this !

Staff do try their hardest to help you and rectify any issues. Lovely, relaxing, extremely clean pool and restaurant area. Food excellent. Spacious rooms.

The first room we were given smelt strongly of damp.... much more than other hotel rooms we had stayed in at other places in the Philippines. There were lots and lots of mosquitoes inside the room, and the sheets on the bed had visible stains on them. We were given another room, no mosquitoes and less of a damp smell; however, there were still issues with cleaning - stains on seating/ cushion within room, hand towels, and face clothes smelt very musty, lots of hair in the shower drain. The bed was very uncomfortable; the mattress had no support. If we hadn't been travelling all day and were not exhausted, we would have left there and then. The next morning, we were asked how things were. We raised the issues with the second room and how we now just wanted a refund for our remaining 4 nights as we wished to leave. The 5 nights at La Colonial cost us 376€ (26 434 php)... the most expensive accommodation in our entire 3 week stay in the Philippines. We were told our booking was nonrefundable; but, they offered us a third room (upgrade), and this one was much better. Only a slight odour of damp, all towels clean and fresh. We did have an issue with a leak under the sink and no hot water in the shower; however, these were both resolved as soon as we reported them. Overall, it was a disappointing experience - we had much better stays in hotels a quarter of the price. With nowhere near the number of issues.
