A very warm welcome from both Natalie and Phillipe when we stayed in their home in Hugegloat. We stayed for two nights in the large top floor bedroom, and enjoyed the breakfasts with homemade pancakes and crepes. Our French is hopeless but both Natalie and Phillipe were very helpful. A lovely stay in a traditional French home, thank you!

The hosts were very welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and the provenance of all the items was explained. The bed was very comfortable. Although we hadn't expected it, it was a nice change not to have a TV in the room. The hosts had left some small local biscuits out for us which were delicious. There are some beautiful walks nearby to observe geological features and a lake in the middle of the town with grebes and other birdlife.
It was not as easy as anticipated to find somewhere to eat in the town in the evening. (It was early September).
