Owners Christos and his wife Maria both have very friendly and warm approach towards guests. Although we have arrived 3 hours earlier than check-in time, they allocated a separate room for us to use temporarily which helped us a lot. In this place you pay for the immediate access to beach and its view from balcony, therefore you shouldn't have high expectations about facilities in order not to be disappointed afterwards.

room is very hot and the fan does not help at all. However, the place is very old and needs a complete restoration. In my opinion its not the mistake of the owners considering the huge costs for such repair especially in an island environment.

The taxi driver dropped us at a supermarket, we waited no one came so we then phoned apartment. Someone came and got us, they didn’t talk apart from saying ‘follow’. They took us to our room gave us the key and left, we never saw or spoke to anyone from that point on. I knew there was no air conditioning but to have a mosquito door or any kind of netting when mosquitoes are an obvious problem in the area was poor. If you shut the main balcony doors there was no natural light and it was too hot. I was bitten over 100 times in two nights, we had to find alternative accommodation. I appreciate the property was cheap and while it had a sea view it was at the back of a beach bar which was grotty and smelly. We worked our that if we had booked the whole week in a hotel also right by the sea it would have been £150 more. The difference in quality between ‘Studio by the Beach’ and hotel were vastly different. Pay the extra, it is sooo worth it
