I really enjoyed the feeling of being a guest in a local home. The room was clean and comfortable, and being able to use the kitchen was a great plus. The host was also very kind, welcoming, and understanding, which made the stay feel even more pleasant.

The only thing that might not suit everyone is that there are quite a few house rules posted around the property. Personally, this did not bother me at all, as I understand that they are there to help keep things organized. However, I can imagine that some guests might find them a little restrictive. I do think, though, that the rules should also be translated into Chinese ;)

Although we stayed upstairs in the host's house, we had our own living space on the second floor with a private bathroom and a small sofa. We were also warmly welcomed to use the kitchen for cooking. The bathroom had so many thoughtful amenities provided. Overall, it felt just like home—super cozy and comfortable. The lake view right outside the door was breathtaking, and we even got to see the northern lights!

Very spacious, well equipped, plenty of supplies of all kinds. Friendly; responsive and hospitable hosts. Use of common kitchen was not an issue. Everything was clean and comfortable. Nice private space on upper floor including a sitting area (though we only stayed overnite due to our schedule). Well enclosed shower without water leaking outside (as happens in many other Norwegian rooms). Nice bedside reading lights with shelf for a phone or essentials with outlet. Big window overlooking water. Convenient parking outside the house. Convenient access to airport and 2 grocery stores. A luggage rack if it could be provided might be a nice feature add to future guests. Lots of bonus treats (going above and beyond most places): Supply of info about the area, couch in the room, bathroom Supplies, kitchen supplies.

Nothing really. Using a common kitchen felt a bit awkward at first since we weren’t used to it but it worked out well and was not a problem. A lot of guidelines and written policies were displayed around - was not an issue for us but could be for others. Sharing this so others know what to expect.
