Benvenuti nel nostro cottage di famiglia!
Il nostro affascinante casolare si trova alla fine di una tranquilla strada privata, incastonato tra due zone umide protette. Siamo a soli tre minuti a piedi dalla nostra spiaggia privata. Condividiamo una spiaggia privata con alcuni dei nostri vicini. Si può viaggiare legalmente sotto l'high water mark rendendo l'intera spiaggia accessibile per la spiaggia pettinatura, pesca ecc ecc
La nostra casa conserva gran parte del suo fascino originale, ma è pieno di comfort moderni. Offriamo extra come complementare ad internet ad alta velocità, tv via cavo, Apple TV, lavanderia e una lavastoviglie.
Quattro camere luminose e accoglienti completamente attrezzate includono un letto matrimoniale di dimensioni, e una seconda camera con un letto a due dimensioni. Ci sono altre due camere da letto che si affacciano Long Island Sound e hanno ciascuno due letti singoli. Tutte le camere dispongono di aria condizionata e riscaldamento a battiscopa. Il piano superiore ha il bagno principale dove si può godere un rilassante bagno in una grande vasca piede cavo.
Il livello più basso della casa ha una cucina rinnovato di recente concetto aperto con un 10 piedi Isola della cucina rivestito in marmo Calacutta e la zona televisore del salotto. Lo spazio è circondato da Windows ed è luminoso e spazioso. La cucina ha un nuovo frigorifero in acciaio inox e lavastoviglie. C'è anche una nuova stufa costruita nel marmo sormontata isola cucina con (2) sgabelli da bar per posti a sedere. Un passo fuori dalla porta laterale accanto alla cucina per accedere al nostro barbecue a gas Webber. La cucina anche è completamente attrezzata con macchine per il caffè, tostapane, piatti, utensili, pentole e padelle. È uno spazio molto piacevole per preparare un pasto. La zona giorno confortevole è un luogo ideale per rilassarsi o guardare un film. Il cottage ha una grande tv a schermo piatto con cavo e un lettore DVD.
La nostra famiglia ha sempre goduto di mangiare i nostri pasti e rilassarsi dopo una giornata in spiaggia sulla nostra veranda chiusa. La sua una delle parti migliori di nostro cottage. Guardare il tramonto mentre avendo un pasto seduti al grande tavolo della sala da pranzo in teak che può ospitare otto con facilità.
Ci sono belle fiori e alberi tutto intorno alla casa con molte opportunità bird watching. Il cortile ha anche una zona di erba falciata che usiamo per giocare a bocce. La doccia esterna con acqua calda e fredda si trova sul lato della casa.
Il box auto dispone anche di un bagno di servizio combinato con un servizio lavanderia. C'è una nuova lavatrice piena di dimensioni e asciugatrice con un lavandino lavanderia. Abbiamo un vasto assortimento di sedie a sdraio e ombrelloni, e ogni sorta di giocattoli da spiaggia per i bambini.
E 'solo una breve passeggiata lungo la strada per raggiungere il nostro deeded spiaggia semi-privata. Prendi una sedia a sdraio e ombrellone e godere di nuoto e la spiaggia di pettinatura lungo la riva. Justin was a terrific host and the house was great. Close to the beach, restaurants and shopping.

We spent 8 weeks at the Madison getaway. We wanted a place that was very close to water, could accommodate young and mature family and friends, was private and secluded feeling, and had a sense of casual with modern amenities. Well, we found it in Madison.
Justin, our host, went above and beyond in making our stay comfortable and immediately took care of any problem that came up. Communicating with him was prompt and easy. He is a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor and an easy way of making any potential problem an easy fix.
The walk to the beach takes less than 5 minutes making a swim easy and possible every day. If we got tired of sitting under a tree reading, we grabbed a towel, slip on swim wear and head for the beach.
There is an outdoor shower that delighted everyone and made the mornings a wonderful refreshing experience. A washer / dryer made life easy and carefree. The kitchen was perfect for a summer stay away from home with all the necessary conveniences.
The 4 bedroom house is located next to an estuary with many trees surrounded the area, consequently there was the never ending sound of bird songs. Many days birds sat on branches outside our open kitchen window singing and singing. It was lovely.
Because the house is right on the sound, we had a couple storms pass our way during our stay. There was one mandatory evacuation, but there was never any damage to life or property. But then storms are to be expected on the Long Island Sound in the summer.
A most delightful section of the house is the screened-in front porch with a long dining table at one end of the porch that seats 10 to 12 people. It was great when family came for a short stay. But on the other end of the long porch was an area that I turned into a mini art studio. I set up a card table and scattered out my pencils, pens and pastels, set up my easel and spent many hours, rain or shine, drawing.
It was a perfect location and house for us and we would recommend Justin's Madison Getaway to anyone.

Justin, was wonderful to work with and promptly responded to questions and requests. A few of the provided beach chairs needed replacing and Justin had new ones delivered to the cottage during our stay. Use of the garage was helpful to store all the necessary beach items (chairs, umbrellas, beach wagon, floats, etc). The location was perfect! Private and secluded but steps away from the deeded private beach and a short walk to the town beach, West Wharf. Our grandchildren enjoyed their stroller ride to Surf Club to play on the playground. There was plenty of parking for our family day visitors. AC units in the bedrooms and living area were essential during the heat wave. We hope to be back next year!

Fantastic place! We stayed here for most of June and July 2020 and had an excellent experience. The neighborhood is great – quiet, well-maintained, and an easy walk to two nice restaurants literally down the road and a snack shack on the beach (about 0.4 miles west on the beach) The neighbors we encountered were super friendly. House is very comfortable with an updated, open floor plan on the ground floor, an outdoor shower, and a stylish and easy-to-use kitchen. There are four small bedrooms upstairs with the master bedroom looking out to the water and one of the other bedrooms having a cool loft (especially fun for older kids to play in). Each of the bedrooms has a comfortable bed (or beds) and window AC units. There is a detached garaged that is excellent for beach item storage and the garage also contains a washer and dryer and a half-bath. But the three best aspects of this house are: owner/manager; the beach; and the ease of use of the house. The owner/manager is super responsive and thoughtful – he was an absolute pleasure to work with and addressed any questions or needs immediately and gracefully. The beach is about a 60 second walk from the front door (a third of which is over the property’s own front yard!) – and it is a great beach! We’ve rented before in Guilford and Old Saybrook and this is by far the nicest beach we have rented on. And lastly, the “move-in-ability” of this house is top notch. We were for want of nothing upon arrival. Sheets, towels, appliances, etc. were all in excellent condition and anything we could need for the beach was found in the garage. This is a great family property that is in a wonderful neighborhood, has excellent access to the beach, and a great owner – we would love to come back in the future.

Our family had a great time at the house. A private yard for the kids to play in but with in a small community. It was a 10 minute walk to the playground and 150 steps to the beach. located 6 houses from the Madison Beach Hotel, so great for spa services or movie night. The house itself was great, a/c in each room an outdoor shower and all the amenities that you will need for time at the beach.
Communication with the host was great. No issues at the house but if we needed clarification then we has quick to respond.

If you are looking for a low key, comfortable vacation near restaurants, the beach, and quiet roads, this is the place to stay. This house is no frills, but has everything you need. The house has an outdoor shower, washer and dryer and a dishwasher. Each room has an air conditioning unit, and there is a screened in porch. In the garage has plenty of water sport equipment and beach chairs/umbrellas for you to use. We were a family of five and were happy staying here. While the house has only one bathroom with a clawfoot tub, there is a second bathroom in the garage where the washer and dryer are located. We all took outdoor showers daily. One thing we wished for was a coffee table in the living room, but outside of this, our kids loved staying here and we will be back again!

A wonderful retreat for one and all. Our entire family had a splendid vacation . The town is a gem from yesteryear. The beach was fantastic. The house has everything you need to have a great vacation and escape from it all.
