We had a great stay. We enjoyed the fishing. The owners were very polite and helpful. The lake house included basically everything we needed for our stay other than personal items of course. It was a great experience. Definitely look forward to returning in our near future.

Had a very enjoyable time. The property is equipped with all the essentials. The dock is an amazing value add! Just wish the fish were bitting better. Haha. Great place to just get away and relax.

The house was just right for us. Wonderful location on Lake Buchanan, privacy with such good outdoor space and activities we never were inside. The pier was beyond expectations. I had fun fishing, watching the sunrise and being with my son. Plenty of room to visit on the covered porch area. We will have another this year.

We wanted to get away for the weekend and fish on the pier. The weather wasn't optimal for fishing and we couldn't catch any, but we saw someone catching catfish. So there is certainly fish there. Wiviane was very responsive, house was as described.

Very clean and roomy house. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend. I’d come back here with my family. We were within 30 minutes of great golf, shops, restaurants, breweries, etc.

We loved our time at the South Shore 1 House! It’s a big place with plenty of room, and the front porch and top deck are added bonuses. Our group loved it!

Right by the lake! It was the perfect location. House was very clean and spacious, and we did not lack any amenitities. Almost everything was provided for us so that saved us a lot of hassle of having to supply our own grill and other cooking items. If we ever go to Colorado State Park again, we will definitely be staying here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a great place for our grandson. Mike, the owner, even let our grandson play on his tractors. The house has plenty of room, pots and pans, dishes, etc. The beach, fire pit, horse shoes, etc. were great outdoor activities.

If you love to fish and enjoy the water this is your place.

The house was as advertised. Great location on the lake. Good for fishing or floating. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the views.

We spent a couple of days at this lake house with our two teenagers. Inside the house was spacious and clean. The property was well stocked. Overall the vibe is functional and family-friendly rather than fancy. In our opinion, the best features of the property are outside. The house has a great covered deck looking out onto the lake, an upper deck that was nice in the early morning and evening, lots of lawn chairs, and even a horseshoe pit. The waterfront area is shared with the other rental house on the property -- a fishing pier that extends well out into the lake, a boat ramp, watercraft rentals available, and a gravel beach with a wide shallow area for swimming/floating. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property for a short get away on Lake Buchanan.

We had many changes to our reservation and Wiviane was very easy to work with and helpful in making changes. Lake Buchanan is a wonderful lake away from all of the crowds of the other Highland Lakes.
