The Lowood Cottage is a lovely spot just a bus ride outside of Edinburgh, with excellent amenities, a gorgeous view, and attentive hosts. It was cozy, but in the sense that it was very comfortable, not small! It ended up being quite large, and our group of four was able to get settled in with plenty of room to spare.
As a note to guests, make sure you allocate beds appropriately amongst yourselves! The two twin beds are understandably not quite big enough for a taller adult, and probably best left for shorter traveling companions or children. The other beds, however, are bigger than advertised.

"Cottage davvero molto bello, tenuto bene e con tutti i servizi per brevi e lunghi soggiorni. La posizione è perfetta per prendere il bus per il centro città."
