Riverfield lodge is a lovely spacious cottage, everything you need to be comfortable. Tara and Andrew are great friendly hosts, would definitely stay again.

Everything about this beautiful quiet little house was absolutely beautiful. It was clean, comfortable, bright and spacious, it had everything we needed for cooking, beds and showers were comfortable and clean, it had WIFI, and even a trampoline in the garden for the kids. There was a Fire pit and a BBQ if you wanted use of it also. We stayed here to go to Tayto park and it just made our stay and trip alot more comfortable having all the space for our kids instead of being crammed into a hotel room. We could cook at our leasure, pack lunches and bring them with us to the park, so value for money exceeded the cost of hotel prices. Thank you Tara, we will be back without a doubt.

Location was ideal for our needs, the property exceeded our expectation and was fully furnished for self catering.

High level of cleanliness.
Comfortable beds.
Friendly host.
Minor issues only. Expected there to be condiments, tea bags and a few essentials like kitchen roll, dish sponge.
However I'd brought my own so it was not a problem.

Lovely homely cottage and very clean and tidy with welcoming hosts, set in nice area 5 mins drive from town
Not suitable for toddlers or very young children as the only comfortable seating area is in a upstairs bedroom

Location outside Athboy is excellent, we really enjoyed food shopping on the busy and attractive main street of Athboy. The cottage setting was lovely, a quiet and extensive garden backing on to trees. Bedrooms were very comfortable and clean, main living space is compact, kitchen generally functional.
For a family that wanted to cook, the kitchen equipment was missing a few expected items (scissors, grater ...).

It was a little out of town but this didn’t deter us from having a lovely time.

Lovely pláce and child friendly in a nice area, loved that it's self catering people who own the place are really nice and helpful I'll plan to stay again next year

Stayed here for 3 nights .just over a half hour to tayto park!Battle of the Boyne and Newgrange about 45 minutes away!Navan,a lovely shopping town 15 minutes away!Athboy Village within walking distance but very busy road so wouldn’t chance it.lovely hotel in village where we had dinner 2 of the 3 nights!A nice centra shop also for supplies!house itself was spotless.Hosts were lovely.there if we needed them but not crowding us either!Had to mention “Blue”the cat..I fell a little bit in love with him!All in all lovely spot.Would definitely recommend and go back there ourselves!
Property was lovely!But personally I would prefer to be closer to a village so we could have a few drinks but it made no difference!we made up by having it in the house.lovely seated area outside to sit and enjoy sunny evenings!

The hosts were very friendly on arrival and welcoming.
Need to replace electric kettle,visible heavy scale and limescale very off putting.Microwave needs to be upgraded as doesn’t work efficiently.

Beautiful warm & clean comfortable accommodation, loads of space with 3 double rooms all ensuite, welcome free range eggs, cookies and milk on arrival which the kids loved and was a lovely touch., beautiful sunroom to relax, all the facilities u need for a young family, ample parking, Didn't meet Tara and her family as they were also on a mini staycation. Spoke on the phone and she talked me through everything I needed to know.
Only downfall was we couldn't stay longer.
Would definitely stay again and 100% recommend to anyone.
Lacked a couple of small thing like a dish cloth to wipe down the table and a sweeping brush. Like to leave place tidy like we found it.

The hosts were warm, inviting and easy -going. I got our dates mixed up a and arrived a day early, luckily they were able to accommodate us without any bother. It was a really comfortable place to stay with so much room for the 3 of us. It was nice and near the town of Athy too which had some really nice places to eat. I would definitely recommend here to a friend 🤗
