The house itself is great. Spacious, all the equipment you need to be self-sufficient, supermarkets and convenience stores not far. Excellent Tokushima Ramen shop (Daruma) like a 2-minute walk away. The host generously let us check in early, which we really appreciated.
People mention it's a quiet neighborhood, and this is generally true. BUT, there's a snack bar right downstairs, and the karaoke at night reverberates through the whole living space. As long as no one's singing or you like enka, you're fine. We really feel like such conditions need to be clearly communicated.
Also, would be great if they removed the pots and pans that can't be used with the electric stove, so you don't have to do a bunch of trial and error when you're trying to cook.
