We really enjoyed our time here! The kitchen was great to cook in and we enjoyed eating dinner on the outdoor deck. It was an easy drive for lots of beautiful hiking and lots of fun things in surrounding towns. The place was clean and the host provided lots of snacks that were yummy. Would definitly stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. We had everything we needed. It was just outside of town on the main house property and was so quiet and safe. We were 15-20 min drive to everything we wanted to see and a Walmart close by for groceries. The house had everything we needed. We had a wonder stay!

My wife and I truly enjoyed staying at The Ranch. Our hosts were Super. Every room was spotless. The kitchen was larger than expected, and the best equipped we have stayed at. No question, that we would stay here again.

I stayed here for a week with my father and we both loved the property. My father enjoyed the cottage and learning all about the owner’s’ family history. As we were coming back from the springs we saw a herd of mule deer on the property, very cute. Loved the gift basket of snacks, the chex mix was perfect for our hikes. The bottle of water and chocolate mint next to the beds was a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend for anybody who needs to getaway .

We stayed almost a month and enjoyed everyday. Angela and Mark are very friendly and such good neighbors. Plenty of room to spread out. Plenty of trails to explore. My only con would be a newer TV. It truly is a beautiful country oasis in Black Forest. Close to everything near Colorado Springs.

We loved the Cottage and the location! Very clean and comforting inside and out. We will certainly keep this Cottage at the top of our list as we travel to the Colorado Springs / Black Forest area!!!

If you are looking for an out of the way, quiet, relaxing place to stay, this is the place! The accommodations were out standing. I would highly recommend this place and would book it again.

This property was exactly what we were looking for. The property is close to all attractions but also quiet and peaceful. The owners go above and beyond to make sure all needs are met. The cottage was impeccable!

Wonderful location, great hosts

Mark and Angela were wonderful hosts. We arrived to a spotless cottage that was more than welcoming. The house was exactly as it was described which made things so much less stressful when traveling with young children. The amenities were perfect with all details well thought out. Definitely enjoyed our stay, thank you again so much!

My family had an amazing time here. We were gone to town a lot but the time spent on the ranch was amazing. The house is perfect, very clean, cozy, and stocked with anything you might need. Mark and Angela are exceptional hosts. We will be back one day!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in June. The cabin is a charming country retreat. It has a full and well stocked kitchen, you could prepare Thanksgiving dinner with all of the pots, pans and plates available. Appreciated that there were condiments in the fridge to use. The cabin has lot's of nice extra's for your stay, we even found sleeping masks and ear plugs the bedroom dresser. The cabin is filled with the Bissels' family pictures and we enjoyed talking with Mark about his family and working ranch. 160 acres are available for walking and taking in the peace and quite of the countryside. Lot's of wildlife to see. The only thing missing was a guest information book which would and been helpful to have about how the cabin works and where you can walk on the property. Other than that I would highly recommend the place.

Mark’s place is wonderful! It’s remote enough to relax and feel peace yet close enough to civilization! The cottage was super clean and they have anything and everything you would need to enjoy your stay! I had a chance to speak with Mark for a bit and he’s a stand up man with a great heart and mind. We really enjoyed the wildlife right outside the windows and highly recommend this rental. This is easily a 5 star rental and great value!
