The property was gorgeous… It felt like home… Cozy, comfortable, inviting, and just perfect for our weekend getaway! We stayed in the La Vue room, and it was perfection! We are avid, vinyl collectors, so the fact that each and every room has a record player and an amazing selection of vinyl to choose from! This will definitely be our bimonthly weekend getaway spot! The staff was phenomenal…Nick, the bartender made the absolutely most delicious cocktail… “The Greeter”! our experience was exceptional! We did not want to leave!!

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights during our 2 week California road trip and it was by far and away our favourite hotel! The atmosphere was very chilled and the design of both the public areas and our room was so cool. Every detail had been considered and it felt so special and relaxing to stay there. Our room was lovely and was so clean and comfortable; the staff were fantastic, so welcoming and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious! The location was excellent too as it was not right in the most busy part of town but was just a short stroll in to the restaurants and bars along a pretty path overlooking the ocean. We both agreed that we want to come back to stay here again - and there's no greater praise than that! Just perfect!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Hotel Joaquin! Our room was beautiful, clean, and very quiet. The hotel amenities were wonderful, the food and drinks were fantastic and the location was unbeatable!

We liked the location and the grounds were nice. We appreciated the "all inclusive" breakfast until we found out about the $60 resort fee.

We stayed three nights and paid $3000. There were several hidden charges, such as resort fee etc. The room we upgraded to for the view was a converted loft with low ceiling and was very small. The sliding pocket doors to the bathroom did not slide and got stuck. It was rundown. For this money we could have stayed at the Ritz Carlton.

Food was just ok and pricey for what you’ll get. You’ll pay the convenience.

We loved the small boutique feeling of the hotel and the amazing service - this wasn't just a hotel it was an experience! The complementary lunch by the pool was delicious, healthy and a lovely surprise after just getting in from the airport. Jesse, the chef, is really talented, we loved all our meals including dinner the last night. I usually stay away from highly chlorinated public pools, choosing the ocean instead, but the salt pool was wonderful. The location of the hotel was ideal - close to hiking trails, the village, the beach and lovely neighborhoods for walking. All in all a great time!

The room was a bit on the small size but nothing you can do about that! The service and amenities made up for it.
