We had this cottage over the Christmas period 2013. The location is beautiful, very quiet and with a nice view across in the direction of Hrubá Skála. There are many interesting places and dramatic landscapes to visit in the local area and the towns of Turnov and Železný Brod close by offer convenient access to shops for necessities.The house itself is very spacious, well designed and is maintained in immaculate condition with high quality fittings and fixtures all of which were as described in the listing and all worked flawlessly. There is central heating (electric boiler) for the hot water and heating of the bedrooms and also a wood burner in the main lounge/kitchen which also heats radiators in the hallways and downstairs bathroom. With firewood provided and electricity included in the rental cost, you can be sure that you need never be cold, even in deep winter. The bedrooms are all a very generous size and with two bathrooms a large group can stay here in comfort. Finally the owner is a genuinely nice man who speaks excellent English, is always helpful and available if needed but who respects the privacy of the residents.A highly recommended cottage for a larger group of family or friends looking for peace and quiet in the Czech countryside.
