Bar Down Lodge is the perfect setting for all that Big Sky/Moonlight Basin has to offer. An open floor plan with top-of-the-line amenities and vaulted ceilings, Bar Down provides a great starting point for a day filled with skiing, hiking, exploring or just relaxing, as well as end-of-day unwinding or entertaining with family and friends
Bar Down Lodge was built in 2016 as part of the Silvertip Development in the Cowboy Heaven section of Moonlight Basin.
In Winter, the Lodge provides excellent ski-in/ski-out access to Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Ski Resort and in Summer, walk out the front door to some of the best hiking trails in SW Montana. And it's just a short drive to world class fly-fishing, white water rafting, zip lining, Big Sky Town Center and, of course, Yellowstone.

Love having a kitchen with standard things to cook and not having to buy all the spices again to make simple things. Had a great stay

This was a great place to stay. It was cozy, clean, and offered great access to the mountain. Joe was a please to work with and offered so much help with ideas of things to do. This place is a 10/10, highly recommend!

Snow conditions could have been better so therefore made this not a ski in ski out but was still everything we needed for our family. Beds very comfy and location great. Fraud was a delight to talk to and Joe the owner was always ready to help or answer questions. Kitchen needs some TLC with more wine glasses, good skillets and casserole dishes but still gave it a 5 star! Hope to return if available and still affordable for our needs!
