Unique, historical river ship, location, price. I was lucky and had the captains cabin, much quieter and includes attached private bathroom.

Nothing much I didn't already know. Low ceiling for me being tall, but all was manageable. A little loud if you are in the middle cabins where you share bathroom with other guests.

I booked Schiffsherberge Pöppelmann because I was looking for a unique experience, and it certainly delivered. I arrived early in the morning, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, even providing me with my room key well before the normal check-in time. The entire property, including the rooms and restrooms, was very clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful, and staying on a historic ship was something completely different from a standard hotel stay. Overall, it was an interesting and memorable experience. While it may not offer all the comforts of a traditional hotel, it provides great value for travelers looking for something unique and affordable.

Honestly, there wasn't anything wrong with the property itself. My only disappointment came from my own expectations, as I booked it assuming it would be similar to a standard U.S. hotel room. I didn't realize that the room did not have air conditioning or a private attached restroom, but the shared restrooms and showers were very clean and there were plenty of them available, so it was never an issue finding one when needed.

Love the location, the ambiance, and the sound of wildlife even though you're in the city. I will book again when I have a longer stay!
