Motel One Linz-Hauptplatz

Location was excellent and room was a good size and comfortable.

I booked our room at this hotel on 4 Feb 26 to break our journey from Salzburg to Prague for one night. It was a superior room. The hotel appears to be two buildings put together and we were allocated 138 “rooms hoffgass”. After going through a maze of corridors we had to go down 3 steps to another corridor then another 7 steps down to an even lower level with a lift outside our room saying it went to reception but in fact led to a “Private” door and a corridor that led out to Hoffgass Strasse which appeared to be a fire door. After requesting another room I was told there was only one standard room available yet on booking.com they had 5 superior rooms available. They may have been the other rooms in the same area. The hotel needs to stipulate that not all rooms have lift access as bookings.com states all upper floors have lift access, although in this case I would not call it an upper floor!

Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts hat es im Zimmer ständig nach Abwasser gerochen. Wir mussten deshalb den Abluftventilator im Badezimmer und das Fenster im Zimmer ständig offen lassen, damit der Geruch einigermaßen erträglich war. Da es draußen zunehmend kälter wurde, war das natürlich alles andere als angenehm. Insgesamt hat dieser unangenehme Geruch unseren Aufenthalt leider deutlich beeinträchtigt.
