Love the host and the vibe of the place

Very nice place to stay, with a full kitchen, beautiful view, close to shops, restaurant, and the temple when you arrive from the long day walking in Kumano Kodo. The staff very nice, one of them speak a litle bit Spanish

Need bathroom upstairs

Located about a 15-minute walk uphill from Kumano Hongu Taisha, this home has a full kitchen, living space, and washer/dryer that make it easy to settle in. We had a peaceful, restful night after exploring the local shrine, and the host was wonderfully welcoming. She even shared fascinating local history about why houses here were built on high ground to stay safe from river floods. The big tourist information center at the Hongu Bus stop is an incredibly helpful place to visit.

A bit hard to find at first when coming up the local hill, but totally worth it. It’s located in a very safe, quiet neighborhood, and the space felt so comforting and warm—just like staying at a relative's home!

Location is good though a little bit uphill

The room is not clean. Shared bathroom is downstairs not convenient. Staff is okay but not friendly compared to other accommodations.
