Bergland Hotel - Adults only

Very nice and comfortable place

The large room had a comfortable bed and chairs. We appreciated the housecoats and quiet room. The staff was very helpful and provided us with a map, free public transport pass and list of restaurant recommendations. It is within walking distance for most of the attractions in Salzburg. This was our favourite place to stay during our travels.

We liked everything.

Excellent modern, clean and spacious accomodation at reasonable rates. Location was easy to get from the main train station and within walking distance of the old town. Best and most helpful hosts ever. Gave clear instructions on how to get there, information on places to eat and sights to visit. Will recommend the place to anyone and will stay here again if i return to salzburg.

Everytning was great

Lovely staff. Family run boutique hotel - we loved that. They provided us with a tip list for eating and groceries. Awesome people who were very friendly and happy to assist us. Even though the majority of their guests are German, they cater for English speaking guests, the reception staff all conversed fluently with us in English. Quiet, safe neighbourhood, just under 10mins walk to Linzer Gasse / Salzach river. The room was a very good size with a "lounge / sitting" area separate from the bed area.

Sadly the hotel is a bit tired and needs updating. The vinyl plank flooring in our room was chipped, the bathroom lacked sufficient lighting. The bathroom had an odd layout which could be improved - although it was functional. The jug for boiling water was a very cheap plastic jug, which is below standard for this type of hotel. In most hotels the rooms had a stainless steel jug. The TV was old and did not have any streaming capability. We felt as though everything just needed a update to bring it up to current standards.
