Wombat's City Hostel Budapest

loved the location, the interior design, and how convenient the online check-in was. The hostel has everything you need, including a bar, a café, and a fantastic common area. Having luggage storage right inside the hostel is also a big plus. The room was quiet, and the sound insulation was great — I barely heard any noise from outside or other rooms. Everything was great!

The only downside was a musty smell in the room that persisted even after airing it out. I don't think this issue should affect the overall rating, and I hope it was just a temporary problem. However, I would recommend that the staff look into it. I would also suggest paying more attention to the cleanliness and smell of the toilets on the ground floor near the elevators, especially in the evening when the bar is busy.

It was a very nice room and building, in a perfect location in the centre, but wasn’t noisy at night. Would recommend this to anyone, my favourite hostel in Europe!
