Gurglhof Apartmenthaus

Das Haus befindet sich taleinwärts quasi am Ortsende von Obergurgl. Ca 3 Fußminuten entfernt befindet sich ein Nahversorger. Unser Apartment inklusive Balkon war extrem großzügig dimensioniert, modern eingerichtet und in hervorragendem Zustand. Die Küche ist mit Herd, Kühlschrank, Spülmaschine, Mikrowelle und Kaffeemaschine ausgestattet. Ess- und Kochgeschirr sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Auch eine kleine Waschmaschine wäre verfügbar gewesen. Im Haus befindet sich auch eine Sauna. Sehr empfehlenswert!

First of all, the owner is really nice. We only had contact through Whatsapp but whenever we needed something or had a question, we had an answer. The apartment in itself is really cosy and clean. It contains everything to cook yourself. Moreover, you have the opportunity to order different kind of breads at the reception for breakfast at low cost (it is a good opportunity as there isn't any proper bakery in the village). The building also has a sauna and hammam with a relaxation space which is really clean and welcoming after a long hike. Regarding the location of the apartments, it is at the base of all the main hiking routes in the valley so no need to take the car to start a hike.

Be careful that the alley to reach the parking is quite narrow and steep. Everyone managed to get out of the parking lot without problem but it needs several manoeuvers sometimes to be able to get out.

The spa area was excellent. Pristine and modern. Staff (when there were helpful).

On arrival there was no staff and we only met a member of staff when I called them about an issue. Didn't see them again all week. We had been 'upgraded' but the new room was not suitable for our group and meant that we had to carry all our luggage (+ a baby) down to flights of stairs. No lift. On seeing the room was not adequate for our group we then had to call staff to change and carry all the luggage back up the flights if stairs. Additional charges at the end of stay were unexpected. For example a fairly large cleaning charge but we only had one, minimal clean during our stay. Location is at far end of town up a hill (in case you have any access issues)
