Villa del Vescovo

Very nice property Big rooms Host very helpful

We chose Villa del Vescovo because we were travelling by car and did not want to drive into Cefalù town centre or struggle to park on the overcrowded streets. The villa is situated on top of a hill, and the views over Cefalù are spectacular. Our room had one double bed and two single beds, as well as a spacious bathroom. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean, although we would have preferred the room itself to be slightly larger. There is a free car park next to the hotel for guests, which we found extremely convenient. Breakfast included pastries, fruit, yoghurt and cold meats, all of good quality. We sat outside every morning, which the whole family enjoyed, although indoor seating is also available. As we were staying on the ground floor and had nowhere to dry our towels and swimwear, we were pleased to find drying racks available around the side of the hotel, which we used every day. There is also a supermarket around five minutes away on foot. In the late evenings, we would buy a bottle of Prosecco and sit in the hotel’s peaceful grounds, enjoying the views over Cefalù and watching the hustle and bustle below. This was one of the highlights of our stay. The owner was polite and very helpful. We would definitely recommend Villa del Vescovo, particularly to anyone visiting Cefalù by car who wants beautiful views and a quieter place to stay.

The walk into Cefalù takes approximately 30 minutes. We attempted to drive into town one evening, but the traffic was horrendous and we eventually had to turn back. We later discovered a useful yet cheeky pedestrian shortcut through the cake shop, through another hotel then stairs to the beach!

We loved this place and only wish we'd spent more time there! The property is quiet and beautiful; breakfast was great too.
